How do you compare year-over-year keyword analysis without (Not Provided) screwing everything up?

We have a seasonal business. It is of no use to compare this month to last month or even this week to last week.
The only real benchmark is to compare the same time period a year ago.
I'd like to know how well I'm doing for a certain keyword. If I compare this month's performance to the same month's performance a year ago, I get corrupt results as much is now hidden in (Not Provided).
Any solutions?

Thank you for verifying ... I didn't think there was a great answer.
Google should provide a "(Not Provided)" eg. "logged into Google" segment. This way, at least I could compare apples to apples from a year ago.
Even then though, the number of users logged into Google this year must be higher than last year so it is still very dirty data ... just less dirty.

Hey Ryan,
I would suggest looking at search as a holistic channel rather than reporting YoY per keyword. If that's not sufficient I would suggest you check out Ian Laurie's method for getting your keywords back.

Why do WMT's Search Analytics & GA's Real Time Keywords Differ?
I took a screen shot of the keywords from Google Analytics Real Time Keywords for Google / Organic. Then I waited a week and filtered Google Webmaster Tools' Search Analytics for queries with those keywords. None of them showed up. Why not? What I missing? Why do some keywords show up in Google Analytics RT for Google / Organic while most others are in Not Provided? I see WMT's Search Analytics says that it doesn't always show queries that "are made a very small number of times or those that contain personal or sensitive information." But most of my queries are like that. Anybody know any patterns / criteria that leads WMT to show some but not others? Thanks

Google's Not Provided - What can I see and what can't I?
Hi Guys, I've been looking into my company's analytics's data recently to establish where most of our traffic is coming from. More so, I want to get an indication of the percentage of organic traffic that is coming from branded and none branded terms. Not provided takes up 80% of my organic traffic and the vast majority of keywords that are provided all mention the brand name. Does analytics's provide you with all of your branded traffic but just block others that it doesn't want you to see? Or is it just coincidence that the majority of the terms I can see are all branded? I am just trying to establish how strong our brand is and how much traffic the brand name brings against none brand terms. All help is appreciated! Thank you!

Traffic by keyword- phenomenon
I have several keywords that seem to bring visitors in but when I look at my rankings it shows that I have no ranking authority at all. Are these just robots or some non human click? Or how do I even get these visitors?

How can I see keyword rankings past 50?
The rankings in the campaigns appear to be limited to tracking terms in the top 50. is there a way to view past that? I understand that for the most part no one is ever going to see past that so 50+ might as well be 5000. But a client has requested for a handful of key terms. If this is not possible, can someone recommend another tool I might use? Thank you! Kevin

GA advanced segments - for how much volume keywords are sending per month
I am trying to follow the advice in this whiteboard friday video http://www.seomoz.org/blog/how-big-is-your-long-tail-whiteboard-friday of grouping keywords based on volume of traffic they send each month e.g. 100+, 50-99, 10-49, <10. I'm probably being super dumb, but how do I do this with advanced segments in GA? Thanks.

Huge Ranking drop without touching the page
I was ranked #5 for the keyword "Become a Sportscaster" - had been in the top 10 for months, then all of a sudden dropped to #46.
