Index Issues with Iframes
-
I have pages that are being scrapped and displayed in iframes and I wanted to see if anyone could tell me how I could get theses pages to be indexed here is a URL of one of the pages http://coggno.com/onlinetraining/safety-/other/lab-safety-1INde
-
Sweet thanks Josh for the info.
-
By the way, I assume the domain we're talking about is actually: http://coggno.com/onlinetraining/safety-/other/lab-safety-1 (without the INde, because that says content cannot be found).
If I were asked how it could be indexed I'd say it couldn't. There's no way sorry, because the content is never ON that page. To the end user in their browser it is, but technically it is just a window to another website.

Thanks Josh,
It is our material so no need to worry. But, if you were given the URL http://coggno.com/onlinetraining/safety-/other/lab-safety-1INde and asked how can this be indexed what would you do?
-
Hi zball,
I can't quite work out what you're trying to do sorry. An iFrame does not exist on your site, it exists on the site that you are directing to. When Google looks over your site, it basically sees an iFrame, and that it's a window to another site, and then moves along.
So in short, no, you can't get Google to index the content of iFrames as your own.
On a side note, do you have permission to be doing that? If that's not your content, I'd be very careful of doing what you're doing.
If everyone could just put an iFrame to another site, then nobody would ever write content!!

Google Cache issue
Hi, We’ve got a really specific issue – we have an SEO team in-house, and have had numerous agencies look at this – but no one can get to the bottom of this. We’re a UK travel company with a number of great positions on the search engines – our brand is www.jet2holidays.com. If you try ‘Majorca holidays’, ‘tenerife holidays’, ‘gran canaria holidays’ etc you’ll see us in the top few positions on Google when searching from the UK. However, none of our destination pages (and it’s only the destination pages), show a ‘cached’ option next to them. Example: https://www.google.com/search?q=majorca+holidays&oq=majorca+holidays&aqs=chrome..69i57j69i60l3.2151j0j9&sourceid=chrome&ie=UTF-8 This isn’t affecting our rankings, but we’re fairly certain it is affecting our ability to be included in the Featured Snippets. Checked and there aren’t any noarchive tags on the pages, example: https://www.jet2holidays.com/destinations/balearics/majorca Anyone have any ideas?

Pages Not Getting Indexed
Hey there I have a website with pretty much 3-4 pages. All of them had a canonical pointing to one page and the same content ( which happened by mistake ) I removed the canonical URL and added one pointing to its page. Also, I added the original content that was supposed to be there to begin with. It's been weeks but those pages are not getting indexed on the SERPS while the one that they use to point with the canonical does.

Index bloating issue
Hello, In the last month, I noticed a huge spike in the number of pages indexed on my site, which I think is impacting my SEO quality score. While I've only have about 90 pages on my site map, the number of pages indexed jumped to 446, with about 536 pages being blocked by robots. At first we thought this might be due to duplicate product pages showing up in different categories on my site, but we added something to our robot.txt file to not index those pages. But the number has not gone down. I've tried to consult with our hosting vendor, but no one seems to be concerned or have any idea why there was such a big jump in the last month. Any insights or pointers would be so greatly appreciated, so that I can fix/improve my SEO as quickly as possible! Thanks!

Spider Indexed Disallowed URLs
Hi there, In order to reduce the huge amount of duplicate content and titles for a cliënt, we have disallowed all spiders for some areas of the site in August via the robots.txt-file. This was followed by a huge decrease in errors in our SEOmoz crawl report, which, of course, made us satisfied. In the meanwhile, we haven't changed anything in the back-end, robots.txt-file, FTP, website or anything. But our crawl report came in this November and all of a sudden all the errors where back. We've checked the errors and noticed URLs that are definitly disallowed. The disallowment of these URLs is also verified by our Google Webmaster Tools, other robots.txt-checkers and when we search for a disallowed URL in Google, it says that it's blocked for spiders. Where did these errors came from? Was it the SEOmoz spider that broke our disallowment or something? You can see the drop and the increase in errors in the attached image. Thanks in advance. Duplicate content issue. Delete index.html and replace with www.?
I have a duplicate content issue. On my site the home button goes to the index.html and not the www. If I change it to the www will it impact my SERPS? I don't think anyone links to the index.html.
