Open site explorer showing zero backlinks

My new website: http://www.thelifesciencesreport.com/ is showing zero backlinks in Internet Explorer and I know of dozens that have posted our links:
to name a few:
http://www.google.com/finance/company_news?q=NYSE:MRK#
http://www.businessinsider.com/platform-technologies-promise-big-payoffs-juan-sanchez-2012-2http://www.traderwise.com/content/platform-technologies-promise-big-payoffs-juan-sanchez
http://silverspotprice.com/
http://www.ihavenet.com/merck.htmlhttp://www.wallstreetwindow.com/aggregator/categories/1
any reason this is happening?

How new?
OSE doesn't track every website, and the index isn't updated real-time, so you could be either too new or just not included in the index.
I mean, right there in the OSE page for your domain, it tells you this:
No Data Available for this URL
Although our index is large, there are a number of reasons why we may not have data for the page you've requested. These can include:
- Recency of Page Creation:
Linkscape crawls the web constantly, but we update the index only once every 30-40 days. Thus, pages and links created since the last index update won't be available until we've seen them. A typical timeline for getting a page/site included in Linkscape is 45-60 days, sometimes less for very important or well-linked-to pages. - Deep Down in the Web:
Our crawl focuses on a breadth-first approach, and thus we nearly always have content from the homepage of websites, externally linked-to pages and pages higher up in a site's information hierarchy. However, deep pages that are buried beneath many layers of navigation are sometimes missed and it may be several index updates before we catch all of these. - Blocked Pages:
If our crawlers or data sources are blocked from reaching your URLs, they may not be included in our index (though links that points to those pages will still be available) - No Links:
The URLs seen by Linkscape must be linked-to by other documents on the web or our index will not include them.
- Recency of Page Creation:

Open Site Explorer backlink results different that MajesticSEO... why?
When checking the number of external links linking to a site, Open Site Explorer and MajesticSEO give completely different results. In one case Open Site Explorer is saying the website has: "49 Total Links" and MajesticSEO is saying the website has: "6,143 External Backlinks (in the last 5 years)" and "497 External Backlinks (in the last 90 days)" Does anyone know why this is?

Open Site Explorer detects links from a site that redirects to it? How is this possible?
I was checking external links to a site: scte-brasilien.de/ and was wondering why there are so many links pointing from another domain (reisen-nach-brasilien.com/) although it redirects to scte-brasilien.de/? So when checking the redirecting domain OSE knows its redirecting... The URL you've entered redirects to another URL. We're showing results for scte-brasilien.de/ since it is likely to have more accurate link metrics. See data forreisen-nach-brasilien.com/ instead? How is this possible? best regards

Open Site Explorer and link numbers
I know this question has been asked many times in this forum but I still can't work it out. Why does this link: http://www.opensiteexplorer.org/links?page=1&site=www.bookpal.com.au&sort=page_authority&filter=&source=external&target=subdomain&group=0 Which is showing all links, external, to pages "on this sub domain" show 1,935 external links but this link: http://www.opensiteexplorer.org/links?page=1&site=www.bookpal.com.au&sort=page_authority&filter=follow&source=external&target=subdomain&group=0 which is exactly the same but this time shoing followed + 301 links, says "showing 1 - 50 external links) but won't show the total links (and I know the mouse-over on the question mark says it's won't show the total links, but I don't understand why it can't show the total links when it could show the total links when I requested to see "all links" instead of just "followed+301" links.) but it actually lists 700 links (14 pages, 50 results each page). I know the link list is limited to 25 links per domain but then it means you can NEVER know the total link count unless you download the full report. This makes using OSE to know numbers of links (internal, external, or otherwise) impossible. And if anyone uses the API, why the API (external+follow) returns 1,451 links? I'm sure it's an ongoing issue with people trying to get their head around all of this and I've never really been able to. Any insight would be much appreciated!

Will Open Site Explorer ever show number of links over time?
OSE is an amazing tool, but do you guys at SEOmoz have any plans to develop it so we can track numbers of links over time. I need to demonstrate to clients how the link building is going, and this would be a great quick report to see how many links you found on a given day, month, year, etc. A bit like magesticSEO backlink history graph, but better 🙂
