Website dissapeared out of Google
-
Hi Everyone,
About 2 months ago i launched a website called http://spelenroulette.nl, i did some linkbuilding for this website in the meantime with other roulette/gaming related websites and the website got a bit up in Google.
But when i was checking my rankings today the frontpage of this website doesn't show up on the first 80 pages? Only some subpages are still on the same positions.
Could this be for a rank-update like these happens all the time and your site dissapears from Google for several days, or could this be because of wrong/too many backlinks or something completely different?
Regards,
Yannick

How long could it take then till my site gets back in google because of these 2 penalized links?
-
Ah, certainly interested.
Yup, I would absolutely email them to remove those links. If there's any risk whatsoever, I would ask for the links to be removed.
-
I checked for the sitename in Google(And they didn't have common names like my websites, but something weird), and i can't find this website in Google anymore, some of it's subpages still exist, but the page where i have a link has dissapeared.
-
How can you tell that these two websites have a penalty now?
-
I was checking several links wich were placed on several niche-related websites, but 2 of these website which didn't have a penalty during the link placement, have a penalty now as far as i can see.
Should i wait for another week, or mail these webmasters if they want to remove my link?

There are a lot of reasons why a site might drop in rank. The number is higher for newer sites because a site can often rank well after launch and then become weighted down to a "real" number. Another possibility is a temporary shift in your site rank. I've seen sites inexplicably drop (i.e. no recent SEO activity) and then come right back in a weeks time.
Your site's not been de-indexed. Keep doing proper SEO and you should come back up.

Actually, I've had the same sort of experience over the past 48 hours with one of my websites - it has completely disappeared from Google over the past 48 hours.
I suspect it is indeed another algorithm change that has affected the website, however, my recommendation is that you continue to add links, add high quality and unique content, etc. Just because it dropped now doesn't mean that it won't come back.
On some of my websites, I've seen the rankings disappear, and when it comes back, it's in the top 15 results - which is great.
Keep SEOing and don't lose hope.

Thanks for your answer,
I launched this website a month ago i just checked, wrote several site-related articles and update the website each 3 days with a new newsarticle.
So it surprised me that only the frontpage dissapeared from google, and not the subpages.
I don't believe the Google search for links, when you use linkcommand you'll see several links, one of those links is unrelated to the site and i just mailed the website if they wanted to remove that link. Other websites which link towards me are related to my niche.
My linkbuilding style was contacting other webmasters and passing content if they wanted to place that with a link towards my website included, made some Social Media accounts for the website and that was about it, not really special. I think there are only 10 new links since the launch of this website, that shouldn't be too much in only a month time?

Not coming up for a term that is within your domain is not a good sign:
http://www.google.nl/search?q=spelenroulette&pws=0At this point I am thinkiing penalty or ban, however ban is not the case as you still rank for an exact domain search:
http://www.google.nl/search?hl=nl&q=spelenroulette.nlOnly 11 pages on the site (or indexed):
http://www.google.nl/search?hl=nl&q=site%3Aspelenroulette.nlYour site seems pretty poor in content and purpose so it could be an algorithmically assigned penalty. The thing is that my dutch is not that great so I cannot evaluate (I am also not sure if the new algo applies to Holland yet).
Link command shows no links:
http://www.google.com.au/search?q=link%3Aspelenroulette.nlYou're in a very spammy niche and I wouldn't be surprised if there was some sort of filter or penalty applied.
Search for: "spelenroulette.nl" -site:spelenroulette.nl brings 37 instances where your domain was mentioned (or perhaps linked) and they don't seem that flashy.
What was your link building style?

Website has a barrage of comment backlinks from 2011
When Google rolled out Panda and Penguin, I assume these links have been discounted and any site punishment has already happened. The website is performing well, however, just recently these comment backlinks have started popping up again as "new" backlinks on Ahrefs. Being "newly-found", will this have a negative impact on the website? Should we be worried about these and start disavowing or is it OK to ignore them? Thanks.

Connecting Two Websites Without Upsetting Google
I have a question that I think I know the answer to, but want to cover my bases. We have a successful blog and are creating a second similar blog for a more specific type of reader. We want to backlink between content because it makes sense for the reader. Our fear is that we may come off spammy to Google by having so many backlinks. Is there a way we are able to tell Google these two sites are related so they don't penalize either site for anything?

How Effective Are Links Between The Same Company's Websites With Different Domain Extensions?
Morning! The main competitor of an eCommerce site I'm working on has a total of 31 sites for 31 different countries. Each one of these sites has a different domain extension (.com, .co.uk, .fr, .it etc.), and every single one of these sites' pages links to all the other homepages through a dropdown menu on the navigation bar. When I pop the .co.uk URL (our main competitor) into Open Site Explorer, I'm advised they have a 45,079 links from 475 domains. If I look at 'just discovered' links, most are from their own sites - I guess MOZ picks these up every time a new page is created. Now, these guys are huge in the UK. They rank in the top 10 for pretty much every single search term and, to put it into some kind of perspective, their Search Metrics score is 33,000 compared to our measly 160! Don't get me wrong, they do get some decent links from authoritative sites, but it seem most of their links are from their own sites. How does Google view these? Does my competitor have these thousands of 'internal' backlinks to thank for their current position? I've just checked their .kr URL and this has 12.5 million(!) links from just 450 domains. Do every single one of these links pass equity? Or does Google just look at one from each domain? Thanks, Lewis

I need help: Website has dropped and I dont know how to bring it back
Hi All, So my website has dropped now to page 12, I have no idea why, I've tried myself to bring it back and I have also tried a few £1000 at outsourcing the SEO which has had no affect. There are no penalties in webmaster tools but I personally think something the algo doesn't like is holding it back - I could be wrong. I think this because some of the results higher than me are a lot worse, hold little to no content and there backlink profiles have no links, some are even 1 page new domains that have been live for as little as a month ranking a lot higher than me. At one point I was ranking page1, position4 for the term 'bank holidays' and now I don't rank anywhere. What's weird is if you search 'bankholidays' as one word I appear in that position. Does anyone have any ideas what is going on? Problem page: followuk.co.uk/bank-holidays - GoogleUK search. I need some help please.

Struggling to re-rank website
A client of ours - www.helenbattphotography.com - was ranking well for local keywords. However, the rankings started to drop as of January this year (slowly) and quite considerably since May. We have not had any Google penalties. To date we have gone through backlinks and removed a few low quality/dubious links that were built around 5 years ago by another agency the client was using and also disavowed some others. This was done around 2 months ago. No impact to date. The website is hovering around page 4 and 5 for the keywords that it used to rank for on page 1 for. We are really struggling to increase the rankings for this client. We have introduced good, unqiue content to the site - not that this was ever really a problem on the site - but this has also made little difference. Would be great to get some feedback on the site and any obvious pointers that we might be missing here - a case of not being able to see the wood through the trees. Thanks

Can Google ban for use of Press Releases?
Is it possible for Google to ban you if you are doing multiple press releases on a weekly basis? All content is unique and news worthy, following proper ratio density/links Thanks!
