Is there an ideal ratio of keyword difficulty to search volume?
-
I used the keyword research tool to pull data on potential keywords, the report returns a percentage to represent the competition and difficulty of a keyword. Is there an ideal ratio of percent difficulty to search volume
-
Google Webmaster tools will tell your the click through rate from the SERPS and Google Analytics can be used to measure the conversion rate. You'll need to define your site goal and think about how visitors move through your site from their landing page to your site goal pages.
-
Thank you. Do you know of any good tools to measure the conversion rate or click thru rate of keyword?
-
No, there's no ideal ratio as such and it's always a good idea to look beyond the headline numbers, especially the relevance of the pages being returned in the SERPS.
You're looking for good volumes of search traffic with as little competition as possible. While those large traffic numbers for highly competitive keywords may look attractive, you may be better off targeting less competitive keywords with smaller amounts of traffic.
Think of it this way a large slice of a small pie is going to be better than just crumbs from a large pie.
However there are other factors to consider beside just traffic and difficulty. You also need to think about user intent, relevance to content / brand / offering and once you start getting some traffic the conversion rate.

Competition difficulty level only shows sites on first pages SERPs. For example: If wiki is up there it throws the number off or just makes it look way more challenging.
Is there an ideal ratio of percent difficulty to search volume?
No there is not. There are plenty of keywords out there with huge traffic volume and no competition. For the most part profitable keywords are more challenging.

Singular and Plural Noun Keywords
Hi everyone Extremely love this community, learning a lot day by day! I am currently in the process of writing a blog post and say for example I am targetting the keyword 'apple' and 'apples'. My current word count of the article is 850 words and I have used 'Apple' 15 times and 'Apples' 26 times. 1 .Is my Keyword density too high and will Google look at this as keyword stuffing? 2. Do I have to target each Singular and Plural keyword individually? Or will targetting 'Apple' will also automatically target 'Apples' for me and vice versa? Thanks in advance!

How to finalize the keywords for SEO?
Hi, I use the following method for keyword research: Create a long raw list of keywords. Use Google AdWords Keyword tool to find monthly searches. Find raw competition. Find direct competition (via allinanchor: search operator) Calculate KEI (Keyword Effectiveness Index) Calculate KOI (Keyword Opportunity Index) Is there any other (better) way to execute the keyword research? Or is finalizing/selecting the keywords only on the basis of monthly searches sufficient? In short, how to select the best keywords from a long list? Thanks & Regards

Keyword Research Help
Hi all, My website is www.bruadair.com which is a luxury 7 bedroom villa in Barbados primary suited for large groups and weddings , using googles adword keyword tool i have been trying to establish some long tail keywords that i could include in my website. However i am finding it extremely difficult to find any long tail keywords (such as: Luxury 7 bedroom Villa Barbados ) that are receiving any local or global searches, it seems that there are only extremely competitive keywords receiving traffic. Does anyone have any suggestions as to how i can find effective keywords? With this type of website is it really as likely to be able to rank high due to the pure amount of keyword competition? I would really appreciate any help given as i am really struggling with my keyword research 😞 Thank you very much!!

To Meta Keyword or Not To Meta Keyword, That Is The Question
I can't seem to get a reliable answer on this one. It seems to be split down the middle as far as who agrees and who doesn't, of course some of that content is outdated. So, for today, should I be using the meta keywords tag or not? Thanks, Steven
