Since you are running an e-commerce site look into deploying some micro-formats / rich snippets. So pop over to schema.org and start implementing some of them. They are perfect for what you do as you can tie your reviews and stock details into every item

Take off the Magento Favicon. Also put some content on the home page.
http://www.yourjigsawpuzzles.co.uk/ is a new domain so why should it rank so fast. Registered on: 16-Jan-2012
Start writing some kick ass content. Freakin' make it up and redo it. READY FIRE AIM! I think puzzles help little kids have fun and learn how to concentrate. Make a puzzle and frame it. Put it on the wall and take a picture. There are so many things you can do!
Print this and go to a coffee shop: http://www.seomoz.org/beginners-guide-to-seo
Look at my home page (it's magento too) and I rank for everything. But my landing pages combined bring in way more traffic than the home page.

Hi Rhys,
I don't think 18 occurrences of a keyword on a homepage is too much , if there is other supporting text. A couple things I noticed on your site is there is no contextual information on your homepage. I would try to add a content block that talks about your store, service and location. This would dilute the overall keyword "jigsaw puzzles" a tad, while providing some information to your customers.
The second thing is the store logo is the only thing in the H1 tag. You are missing a big opportunity here without having text in there. If at all possible I would remove the H1 tag from the storelogo and use it in the content I suggested you add.
This advice seems to also be pertinent to your category pages.
Ecommerce stores I believe get a little bit of lye-way when it comes to the amount of links & keywords on each page, simply by nature of the store. Look at stores like Amazon, or eBay they will have tons of occurrences of keywords on a page simply due to the amount of different products they sell which are similar. Amazon started paginating their results but still when you search for a broad keyword on their site you're going to get a page loaded with that keyword.
There are a few other things I will mention, but you maybe aware of them.
From a users perspective there some links I would want to use (like save 10% logo is not a link). Customer Service, Contact Us, Gift Cards all direct to the same page, Blog link is not working, and having payment logos which link to nothing is also a put off.
I'm not trying to criticize your site, but these are issues I noticed without spending much time on your site so I feel strongly customers may notice them as well, I hope by pointing them out here you can see about addressing them.
Hope it helps

<dd style="color: #5e5e5e; font-family: Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12px; font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; font-weight: normal; line-height: normal;">18</dd>
Personally I would remove one of the two words "jigsaw puzzles" occurring in the websites title.
If you can limit that word to about 15 times of occurring, that would be optimal. I looked at your page source and indeed it would be hard to limit the number of times it gets repeated. Try to add other keywords in, like Puzzle Games!
Hope this helps!

Seo Booster Pro WP Plugin
Hi guys, We used this plugin with good results in the past - http://cleverplugins.com/shop/seo-booster-pro/. Basically, the plugin checks the incoming traffic and when it sees traffic from Google evaluates the SERP where it's coming from. If the keyword was placed on the second page, it automatically ads a link in the sidebar pointing to the article page. The anchor of the link is the actual keyword. This way, the link gets a bit of extra juice and most of the times it gets bumped to the first page. We would like to use something similar to our ecom shops. We need to custom program it as it does not exist as a pre-made plugin. We have a concern though - one of the points of the last Google updates addressing link juice and authority manipulation. Please let me know if you use any related SEO technique (or even this plugin) and what are your thoughts on implementing a such tools on an ecomm site. Thanks in advance

Do you think Link:Content Ratio counts in SEO?
We posted the same question in Quora. But hope to get responses or test results from SEOMOzers. This might help Google for identifying: High Link:Content Ratio = Parked Domain

Moderate Link:Content Ratio = Directory Site
Relatively High Link:Content Ratio = Normal Website
Very High Link:Content Ratio = Article page or Blog Do you think Google is using it, especially during Panda Update? I am trying to find a reasonable cause of many situations like the PR of deep links or category pages in Directory sites has vanished. And if that has something to do with it.0 -

SEO Landing Page Fail
We have a PPC landing page template that I've used to aggregate blog post collections thematically. http://www.ietravel.com/machu-picchu-travel http://www.ietravel.com/kenya-and-tanzania-safari The hope was that they would start ranking. After 5 months, it has yet to happen.Thought it was a good idea at the time because these pages have a nice prominent call-to-action area. It now occurs to me that the pages are probably under-performing because they are not incorporated into the main site navigation. Do you think that if I move these under their appropriate categories in the main site I'll see some lift? (Of course, I will add 301 redirects as well.) Thanks

CNAME instead of A-record: seo problem?
Our supplier of a hosted CMS is hosting a few hundred website on his server. For every domainname pointing to a website we need to use the same IP-adres in the DNS A-record. They are now asking us to delete de A-record for all the websites and add a CNAME record. So they can send the traffic via a company like Versign in case of a DDOS attack. A lot of the websites rank well. Will there be a SEO problem when we start using the CNAME's instead of the A-records? Thanks, Olaf

Does capitalization matter for SEO?
Two places capitalization comes into play: (1) on-page use (title, h1, body text, img alt text, etc) (2) external anchor text I didn't think it mattered from Google's point of view for on-page usage (is this correct?) but I notice that OpenSiteExplorer' s 'anchor text distribution' tab shows different counts for the same keyword if it's capitalized in different ways (eg seomoz.org is listed separate from SEOmoz.org). Is that just OSE or does Google treat the keyword/phrase different based on its capitalization, too? And if so, then should I be creating external links to my site with the 'regular' and 'Capitalized' versions of my key phrases?
