No index?
-
Hi,
I have about 600 posts and most of them are not really optimized (some of them are flash photo gallery).
Should I do no index them?
They are just too many to optimize them.
My website is http://www.soobumimphotography.com/
Thank you

Hi,
in my opinion you should 'no index' sites with high bounce rate compare to short time of visit (less than 10 sek). It's true or real bounce rate - visitor spent less than 10 sek on the one site and then left website.
Also good idea is no index or even delete posts with 'heavy' content with long time of page load ... as I think flash galleries could be heavy. Page loading time (long) could also increase bounce rate.
So you have a choice to have 600 posts or ... maybe 100 good posts ... good content vs average or poor content.
Answer is simple

Unless they are creating duplicate content issues or other problems, I personally would not noindex them.
Side note: Did you know your Image Search at the bottom of each page takes you off-site to this location "http://pa.photoshelter.com/c/thadallender/search"? I'd fix the action of that form or remove the widget until it's fixed if I were you. Right now it is not searching your site and is sending people off your site.

Google Console returning 0 pages as being indexed
HI there, I submitted my site notebuster.net to Search Console over a month ago and it is showing 0 pages as being indexed under the index status report. I know this isn't right as I can see that in google alone by typing in (site:notebusters.net) there are 113 pages indexed. Any idea why this might be? Thanks

No index, or no index no follow?
Wondering if I could garner some views on this issue please. I'm about to add an affiliate store to a website I own, the site has a couple of pages of unique content (blogs, articles, advice etc on home improvement - all written by my team). Obviously, the affiliate store will not be unique content, it will be made using the datafeeds from cj.com et al, and so I don't want to get any duplicate content type penalties from Google for this store. Should I add a no index to the pages and allow the bots to still crawl them, or should I add no index and no follow? Ideally I would like to get the affiliate store category pages indexed as they will be a mixture of lots of different merchants and be fairly unique. Can Google still mark the site down for duplicate content if it can crawl it, even if it is noindex? Thanks, Carl

How to find google indexed pages
I can't find where the # of indexed pages are on my google analytics. I tried the instructions below, but the index status was not an option on my dashboard. View the Index Status page: On the Webmaster Tools home page, click the site you want. On the Dashboard, click Google Index, and then click Index Status.

Google index text that I can not find
Hello everybody, As you can see here: http://webcache.googleusercontent.com/search?q=cache:G-iicHoDJeYJ:www.billigste-internet.dk/&hl=da&gl=dk&strip=1 Google index the text "Forside" as the H1 tag, and "Right" and "Left" as body text, on my website. But I do not want that Google indexes this. But when I look in mine source code (see here: view-source:http://www.billigste-internet.dk/) I can not find "Forside", "rigth" or "Left", so I can delete it. Is there anyone who can help me where I need to delete the text "Forside", "Right" and "Left", so Google does not index this text? Hope someone can help.

Google Indexed = 35, 445 pages, Bing Indexed = 243 pages... Why?
Dear MozSquad, Can anyone check our site and let me know if there's anything super apparent that would cause Bing to treat us like a bum on the street? I recently made some structural changes which really helped with Google, but Bing didn't even budge. It's a lot harder to keep up with all the SEO initiatives I have in mind with it being a small start-up where I'm responsible for planning the entire Internet Marketing campaign, giving constant input on UX and site design, etc on top of 900 other things, so I figured it'd be a good time to use The Moz to help a brother out. Ideas? Domain: homeandgardendesignideas.com (yeah, I know it's a little long =P)
