Is there at tool to see how many pages were indexed in google for a particular website historically?
Thanks

Yeh shame there isn't anything, I am tracking myself for now but would like some historical information from before I started inhouse SEO at my current company
-
There isn't, or at least there wasn't about a year ago. I was looking for something like that a year ago and I searched high and low, I asked that very same question on here. If the tool does exist, it's not easily found and nobody knows of it.
Shame, but as somebody else said on here, it would be a pretty cool tool to make, a sort of wayback machine/archive.org that shows what rankings were for a site, etc...

How do you analyze a traffic drop with no historic Google Analytics data?
A client of mine has a large website with multiple sections (shop, forums, articles, etc.) that apparently had a significant reduction in rankings, traffic, and sales in the past. However, historic Google Analytics data is not available for the site, and I'm having troubles identifying anything concrete about the traffic drop, such as when it happened, what pages/sections it happened to, etc. The shop traffic drives most of the revenue, but it's a small number compared to the forums traffic, so it's hard to pick anything out of top-line trends like SEMrush offers. What tools or strategies might help in this situation?

Switch to www from non www preference negatively hit # pages indexed
I have a client whose site did not use the www preference but rather the non www form of the url. We were having trouble seeing some high quality inlinks and I wondered if the redirect to the non www site from the links was making it hard for us to track. After some reading, it seemed we should be using the www version for better SEO anyway so I made a change on Monday but had a major hit to the number of pages being indexed by Thursday. Freaking me out mildly. What are people's thoughts? I think I should roll back the www change asap - or am I jumping the gun?

What to Index?
We are using wordpress and seo plugin from yoast. We have set indexed all the posts, but not categories or tags in order to avoid a duplicate as those categories contain the posts. My question is, is it possible to set for index rather the categories and then set posts non-index? Would be then posts in categories still index?

How can you tell if your new content has been indexed?
Other than simply doing a search in each case, is there any way I can tell (in Webmaster Tools, for example) if the 500-1000 new pages of content I have added have been indexed and are now appearing in search results? My traffic hasn't risen much, but I know at least a few of them are in there... How can I tell when they're all in?
