Few backlinks, no social signals and PR of 1 in the #1 SERP. How is this possible?
-
Hello everyone, I've been busting my head now for a bit and for the life of me I can't understand how this website is ranked #1 or #2 for a moderately competitive keyword (45% According to the Keyword Difficulty Report). Anyone has any idea how is this possible or how are they doing it? Please note page and domain authority as well...
Included: reports from SEOmoz and ahrefs
Thank you in advance!
With the purpose of protecting mi client's identity, I've hidden keywords and domains.

Right. I did some digging and I think it's because this website is serving as a listing for itself and its competition, but would like to hear your opinion:
site ranking high: anders [dot] com [dot] mx
client: harmonhall [dot] com
keyword: escuelas de ingles
engine: google.com.mx
Thanks!

As William said, without seeing the URL's its pretty hard to say. Despite what some people say, content and on-site SEO signals still go a long way in SERP results. Perhaps it's something on-site that is causing them to rank higher than you.

We need the keyword and link, otherwise we will be just as clueless

How to break into a serp dominated by large companies? (but low keyword difficulty)
I'm currently doing some keyword research, and on favourable keywords such as: "weekend breaks in lake district" (320 searches per month with 39% keyword difficulty), I see that all of the first page SERPS are from larger companies (last minute, centerparcs etc) How likely will it be that I can get on that first page, assuming I am focusing my page on that particular keyword. Sparse info I know, but I didn't want to spend hours going down a dead end street. Is it simply that these larger companies are in the top 10 because there are no specific pages targeting that keyword, or do I have little chance?

Finding Local SERPs
Good Afternoon Everyone, I am looking into finding a tool that can use different IP addresses for local markets to find what their SERPs look like for searches such as: Cogs in Calgary Cog Installer Miami Cog Repair New York With local IP addresses for that search in that market. Not sure if such a thing exists, but thanks in advance!

SERP rankings consistency
I have a website which is showing different serp rankings. On one computer, he's on the first page, on another, he's second page and another person from outside our office sees him ranked differently. What would account for the inconsistency in rankings?

How a site only with Frame can be at #1 google in a competitive keyword?
Guys, I need help. I have a company in Brasil and due to lack of budget, I'm doing the SEO for my self. And for two years Im reading everything that I can to do my best in my website. I worked very hard, but the #1 in the most important keyword for my company is a very bad website only with frames. What they are doing? Could anyone give help? Keyword: "acampamento"

Researching Backlinks from Distinct C-Classes
I'm looking to do some competitive research on the top ranking sites in my niche. How can I get a list of the number of backlinks that come from distinct C-Class IP addresses? I don't see this anywhere in the OSE data. Thanks.

1 domain dominating unbranded search terms?
Anyone have any insight or comments? We’ve been negatively impacted by the last Google algorithm update - not by a penalization of our site but because another site is now grabbing the top 3-4 search results for long tail physician name searches thereby pushing us lower in the rankings. Being that we’ve never seen this happen with unbranded search terms, we’re not sure how to address it. To see an example, click http://www.google.com/search?q=dr.+elizabeth+eads. You’ll notice that the top 4 results are all from 1 site - HealthGrades - with 2-3 of the 4 pages being canned, pre-written templates without any unique content (see malpractice & sanction pages). It seems that they are doing this by paginating their information into separate pages, thus appearing in multiple search results, instead of putting all the information on 1 page, as we do and Google’s best practices suggest. Any advice or comments would really be appreciated.

Is there a tool that could list all high PR pages of a domain?
Is there a tool that could list all high PR pages of a domain? Ideally, non subscripton based but if the tool is awesome then I wouldn't hesitate forking out for it.
