Finding Broken Links
-
My campaign report says I have a 404 error for a sub page located at domain/products/contact.aspx
My contact page is not in the /products directory so what I'm wondering is if this means that somewhere on a site I have a link pointed to /products/contact.aspx. I've looked everywhere and cannot find the link if it is out there somewhere.

ERROR: Too Many on-page links!
User wise, my product menu @LEDSupply.com is user friendly, but I'm concerned that it might be seen by crawlers as bad because of the TOO MANY ON-PAGE LINKS error I am getting in my moz crawl report. Is it really counting all the links in every drop-down menu? If so, is there are resource on how to fix it????

DA as a measure of link-building success/failure?
Hi all 😃 What would be a good way to track weather a website is doing good or bad in regards to link-building in google's eyes? Is the Domain Authority the best credential? If a website is penalized for link-building schemes, would it reflect on the Domain Authority shown in Moz Analytics? What other Moz score would reflect this scenario? Best regards & Thank you for your help. Carlos

Open Site Explorer, Which is the right link number?
Hi SEOMozers, I am trying to check a record of links to one of the websites I help look after. One problem with the site is the home page automatically redirects to /home which seems to make OSE give some weird results. I can give out the domain if need be but I would rather not if I can help it 😉 To sum up what's happening when you put the domain into OSE with the /home then I get the social figures but the link number is right out saying the site has 200 links. Typing in the domain without the /home brings up no social figures and 15k links which looks more correct. Also OSE has the notification about the redirect and if I'd like to go to the /home version. The weird thing is however is if I change the filter to 'Pages on this root domain' which should show all links pointing to the website, the figures don't change...? Has anyone experienced this? Any solutions? Or is it a known bug? Cheers for any help in advance!

My domain authority is 1, and I am not seeing any links to my site.
I know that there are links to my site, but nothing shows up. My website is www.mullinsgeoffrey.com. I have tried with and without the www. I am using wordpress for this site, but competitors are as well, and there authority seems fine. is there a hidden setting somewhere that is screwing things up?

Ways to Find Potential Backlink Providers
We are doing a backlink campaign for a personal development training company that is a pretty good authority with lots of good long articles. So far I found competitors ranking for our keywords - about 10 of them - and analyzed their backlinks We found about 40 possible backlink providers. What's the next step to find more? I know 2 possibilities so far: do inurl commands in google to find related sites with resource sections - how do I do this? Analyze the backlinks of the sites that make up competitor's backlinks.] - how do I organize this huge task? What else is there?

Issue getting total links, page & domain authority
Hi guys, I am trying to get total links, page & domain authority using the API. I am requesting the following columns: Cols=6871947673632768328204816384343597383681653687091214 { "fjid": 207343179, "ued": 43324279, "pib": 255645, "ptrr": 0.0056131743357352125, "fmrp": 8.246626591590841, "unid": 954915, "fjf": 4003651, "fjr": 0.00040067116628622016, "ftrp": 8.308303969566644, "ftrr": 0.0012189619975325583, "fejp": 9.265328830369816, "pnid": 45883246, "fjd": 2480265, "ujfq": 1277385, "pjip": 1230240, "fjp": 9.586342983782004, "fuid": 294877628, "uu": "www.google.com/", "pejr": 0.0004768398971363439, "ufq": "www.google.com/", "pejp": 9.647424778525615, "ujp": 300689, "utrp": 7.916901429865898, "ptrp": 9.487254666203722, "utrr": 0.001639219985667878, "fmrr": 0.000731592927123369, "pda": 100, "pjd": 5600882, "ulc": 1342758719, "fnid": 12165784, "fejr": 0.00016052965883996156, "ujb": 107264 } I cannot see the UPA column returned in the JSON object. Help with Roger finding phantom links
It Monday and Roger has done another crawl and now I have a couple of issues: I have two pages showing 404->302 or 500 because these links do not exist. I have to fix the 500 but the 404 is trapped correctly. http://www.oznappies.com/nappies.faq & http://www.oznappies.com/store/value-packs/\ The issue is when I do a site scan there is no anchor text that contains these links. So, what I would like to find out is where is Roger finding them. I cannot see any where in the Crawl Report that tells me where the origin of these links is. I also created a blog on Tumblr and now every tag and rss feed entry is producing a duplicate content error in the crawl stats. I cannot see anywhere in Tumblr to fix this issue. Any Ideas?
