Google + under Google business domain email account
-
Hello there,
I have a quick and straight question and I am hoping to find answer here.
What do we do with a G+ profile that was set up through a business domain's email account that is used by more than one person? We want to use the company name, but we can't as it is considered personal email account although it is under business domain verified by Google. Is there a way that we ask Google to change it and allow us to use the name of the company or should we just deactivate it?
Thanks in advance!

Try putting your company name in the First and Last name and see what happens. Mine didn't work, so I just made up a first and last name and pretty much left it as is. It controls my youtube channel and a couple other things that I don't want an employee to have access to.

Hi Francisco,
Thanks for your response.
We know how to set up a company page and we already have one.
We are wondering what to do with the G+ profile that is associated with one of our main company emails info@..... We use Google business apps and we have a few company domain business accounts / emails and as you can imagine, just like for every gmail email, we can create a G+ profile. So, the questions is can we use it with the company name and is there an option Google will allow us to do this or should we just not activate it ?
Thanks!

If you want to set up a Google Plus Company page, it is just like setting up a Facebook Fan Page.
Here is how mine is setup:
[email protected] (Francisco's Google Plus Page)
[email protected] (Joe's Google Plus page)
Acme Corp (Acme Corp's Google Plus Company Page)
The acme corp company page can have BOTH francisco and joe as administrators.

Duplicate content across domains?
Does anyone have suggestions for managing duplicate product/solution website content across domains? (specifically parent/child company domains) Is it advisable to do this? Will it hurt either domain? Any best practices when going down this path?

Duplicate content in external domains
Hi,
Intermediate & Advanced SEO | | teconsite
I have been asking about this case before, but now my question is different.
We have a new school that offers courses and programs . Its website is quite new (just a five months old) It is very common between these schools to publish the courses and programs in training portals to promote those courses and to increase the visibility of them. As the website is really new, I found when I was doing the technical audit, that when I googled a text snipped from the site, the new school website was being omitted, and instead, the course portals are being shown. Of course, I know that the best recommendation would be to create a different content for that purpose, but I would like to explore if there is more options. Most of those portals doesn't allow to place a link to the website in the content and not to mention canonical. Of course most of them are older than the new website and their authority is higher. so,... with this situation, I think the only solution is to create a different content for the website and for the portals.
I was thinking that maybe, If we create the content first in the new website, send it to the index, and wait for google to index it, and then send the content to the portals, maybe we would have more opportunites to not be ommited by Google in search results. What do you think? Thank you!0 -

Google not displaying meta description
Hi, one of my clients is receiving the following error in SERP - "A description of the page is not available because of this site's robots.txt". The site is built on WordPress and I realized that by default, the settings were checked to blocks bots from crawling the site. So, I turned it off, fixed robots.txt and submitted the sitemap again. Since, then it's been almost 10 days, the problem still exists. Can anyone tell me what should be done to fix it or if there's a way to get Google to recrawl the pages again.

New Site: Use Aged Domain Name or Buy New Domain Name?
Hi,
Intermediate & Advanced SEO | | peterwhitewebdesign
I have the opportunity to build a new website and use a domain name that is older than 5 years or buy a new domain name. The aged domain name is a .net and includes a keyword.
The new domain would include the same keyword as well as the U.S. state abbreviation. Which one would you use and why? Thanks for your help!0
