Reducing onpage links - manufacture list
-
Hi Guys,
I am relaunching one of my sites, and one of the categories has 746 links on it due to a list of boating manufactures.
Ideally I need to cut this down - anyone got any tips on how I can do this without losing the user experience but still allowing google to crawl all the manufactures?
Cheers

use some nice AJAX script to list them by alphabetical order or some other order?
I assumed from the title you were wondering if you needed to crop the number of links, the answer is not if it's just a few pages and it's clearly just a directory in that part of the site. Those links won't pass huge value due to sheer volume so webmaster tools may scream but I wouldn't be horrendously bothered by them.

Can I rank without links
Let's say I have great content. I have a great website design (easy to navigate for user) that answers their questions but I have no links. Can I still rank on on a keyword that has a difficulty score of 24. I imagine that I can that google can't penalise me for not having links. Does it mean that without links it will take longer to rank than with links but that google with rank me at some point ? Thank you,

How to determine the value of these links?
Hi Guys, How can you determine the value of external links which are deep inside a website. Two examples: http://www.sheknows.com/community/home/ten-tips-buy-car-insurance Two sub-folders deep. http://www.dogfoodhowto.com/899/whats-the-best-puppy-food-for-cockapoo-puppy-at-home.html One sub-folder deep. These links are clearly far from the homepage, so was wondering if they are worthless or how can you determine the value of them? Cheers.

Best to Combine Listing URLs? Are 300 Listing Pages a "Thin Content" Risk?
We operate www.metro-manhattan.com, a commercial real estate website. There about 550 pages. About 300 pages are for individual listings. About 150 are for buildings. Most of the listings pages have 180-240 words. Would it be better from an SEO perspective to have multiple listings on a single page, say all Chelsea listings on the Chelsea neighborhood page? Are we shooting ourselves in the foot by having separate URLs for each listing? Are we at risI for a thin cogent Google penalty? Would the same apply to building pages (about 150)? Sample Listing: http://www.nyc-officespace-leader.com/listings/364-madison-ave-office-lease-1802sf Sample Building: http://www.nyc-officespace-leader.com/for-a-new-york-office-space-rental-consider-one-worldwide-plaza-825-eighth-avenue My concern is that the existing site architecture may result in some form of Google penalty. If we have to consolidate these pages what would be the best way of doing so? Thanks,

Reduce TTFB?
I'm clocking up nearly 1 second on time to first byte on a Joomla 2.5 site. It is on shared hosting so don't think there's much option for improvement from the hardware or core configuration angle. There isn't much in the way of plug-ins and it is using SSD, the problem seems to be with the CMS itself. Any ideas how I could produce the TTFB? Thanks

Building High PR Links
Would this technique work well for ranking? Get a relevant guestpost on a relevant site. Then send high PR links to that page to create pr3-5 relevant links to your main site.

Article Marketing For Link Building
Just wanted to get a discussion going about the effectiveness of article marketing for building links. All of my content will be decent and unique. I will submit to the following 10 directories: Ezine Buzzle Goarticles Article Dashboard Sooperarticles Helium Articlebase Articlealley Isnare Article City Of course, varied anchor text and relevant content to my various niches. I just want to know if this is still an effective link building strategy. Please don't recommend i "try" something else because i am doing everything else as well. Thanks guys
