Schema.org for Organization Logos
-
Hi,
We have 4 different sites on four different domains. each domain serves a different market and sells different products. However, all 4 sites have the same logo.
we are thinking of implementing the logo schema.org for our logo - http://googlewebmastercentral.blogspot.ca/2013/05/using-schemaorg-markup-for-organization.html
Does any one know if Google might see the identical logos (even if Google cant actually see an Image like a human) for different domains as something spammy?
Many thanks
-
no I don't think so, by the way they can see the images is the same, but this will not be a problem.
-
Hi,
Do the sites have the same company name in the page titles, or elsewhere on the pages? Do you already link between the sites, or are they run entirely independently from each other?

Huge organic traffic drom after a perfect domain migration. What to do?
Hi, I already asked the question on different places. But so far nobody could help me.

Hope someone can help me out. If possible.
I migrated my website https://vihara.nl to https://meditatieinstituut.nl and lost about 80% traffic (see printscreens). It's over more than a month ago now and there is no sign of getting it back up. Maybe there is nothing to do and
1. I have to be patient and traffic comes back in a few months.
or
2. There is nothing to do and I've lost everything I've build up in the last years. Start over again to get the rankings back.
or maybe, maybe
3. I just forgot something that I still need to do to get the rankings back up. Or there is something I did not think of... This is done: The website is migrated 1 on 1. No changes in content, url, code, etc. Everything is exactly the same as on the previous domain. 301 redirects whole domain (via htaccess a bulk redirect). All the old pages, without exceptions, lead to the exact new page. The new domain is running from CDN (Cloudflare) with the same settings as the previous domain. SSL is installed in the exact same way. Domain migration set up in Search console (working). Uploaded new sitemap (working). Updated internal links. Changed the most important external links (where I could get contact after reaching out) In meanwhile received some new external links and also posted new content Anybody knows what to do? Or do I just have to be more patient and will it come back in a few months by itself? Looking forward to suggetions. Thanks! Correct Schema Markup
Hello, I've been having some markup issues and need some help. I researched what would be the best Business type and used that markup on the website. But when I check it in the testing tool I get this http://screencast.com/t/vtlfn2MNPKf It doesn't recognize the object type. Could this be an error with my website or the markup its self? Please advise Thanks

Schema Markup Showing On Some Pages But Not Others
We have implemented Schema markup for Reviews on product pages. All these pages check out in the Markup Checker Tool in Webmaster Tools, but out in the wild only about 50% of them are actually showing the Review markup in SERPs. Example of a page showing Review markup successfully: http://www.cloud9living.com/los-angeles/drive-a-stock-car And example of a page not showing markup in the SERPs: http://www.cloud9living.com/las-vegas/race-a-ferrari Any ideas on why some SERPs show markup and others do not? Thanks!

Organic Brand Traffic Tanking
Hey Guys, We recently launched a new website in late February. Since then, we have seen a drop in organic traffic from most of our top organic keywords. My major concern is the drop that we've seen from our branded keywords. Since the new site launch, our #1 organic traffic and revenue-driving keyword (brand name) dropped over 31%! It should be noted that all of our URLs changed, however, I've updated the sitemap in GWT and we have utilized 301 redirects on all old URLs. Any insights or recommendations on where I should be looking or what I should be doing? Thanks!

Massive drop in organic rankings - but strange issues
Hi guys, We experienced a massive drop in organic rankings on Saturday 29 October, a drop of around 80%.
Intermediate & Advanced SEO | | cashchampion
I have received no notifications in webmaster tools
The site still ranks for its name so we are not banned
The site has been around since 2007
My mozrank and trustrank are very high (higher than sites that now still rank while we don't)
The strange this is the homepage doesn't rank for the main keyword (which it always did), but now a deeper page ranks for the main keyword, albeit on page 4.
Quite a few of our sites were affected, even though they target different industries, different countries, with different hosts, different unique content, different links (for one we havent even started link building and it was getting 250 UV per day, and now 8). I am completely confused by this.
Any advice or direction would be extremely helpful. Thanks so much0 -
Schema.org on Youtube iframe embed?
So I've tried scouring the internet on the proper way to markup youtube videos. I know there's the VideoObject propery but that seems to be more made for the old school embed code that looks like this: <embed width="100%" id="video-player-flash" height="100%" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" src="http://s.ytimg.com/yt/swfbin/watch_as3-vflpp9opi.swf" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" bgcolor="#000000" flashvars="el=embedded&fexp=904001%2C914057%2C918000%2C910206%2C907217%2C907335%2C921602%2C919306%2C922600%2C919316%2C920704%2C912804%2C913542%2C919324%2C912706&is_html5_mobile_device=false&tabsb=1&hl=en_US&eurl=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.dial800.com%2Fblog%2Fvideos%2Fdial800-product-overview-video&iurl=http%3A%2F%2Fi4.ytimg.com%2Fvi%2Fgk1aD9UCKYA%2Fhqdefault.jpg&tspto=12000&probably_logged_in=1&tsp_buffer=10&video_id=gk1aD9UCKYA&tsp_dvrloop=50&sendtmp=1&enablejsapi=1&sk=WZy3rFIXzzhTB_BpmE1p1tTsbxMib1vIC&rel=1&playlist_module=http%3A%2F%2Fs.ytimg.com%2Fyt%2Fswfbin%2Fplaylist_module-vfl3lol2H.swf&jsapicallback=ytPlayerOnYouTubePlayerReady&playerapiid=player1&framer=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.dial800.com%2Fblog%2Fvideos%2Fdial800-product-overview-video"> Do I need to use that code or is it possible to mark it up using just the clean iframe src that youtube provides now?

How was cdn.seomoz.org configured?
The SEOmoz CDN appears to have a "pull zone" that is set to the root of the domain, such that any static file can be addressed from either subdomain: http://www.seomoz.org/q/moz_nav_assets/images/logo.png http://cdn.seomoz.org/q/moz_nav_assets/images/logo.png The risk of this configuration is that web pages (not just images/CSS/JS) also get cached and served by the CDN. I won't put the URL here for fear of Google indexing it, but if you replace the 'www' in the URL below with 'cdn', you'll see a cached copy of the original: http://www.seomoz.org/ugc/the-greatest-attribution-ever-graphed The worst-case scenario is that the homepage gets indexed. But this doesn't happen here: http://cdn.seomoz.org/ That URL issues a 301 redirect back to the canonical www subdomain. As it should. Here's my question: how was that done? Because maxcdn.com can't do it. If you set a "pull zone" to your entire domain, they'll cache your homepage and everything else. googlebot has a field day with that; it will reindex your entire site off the CDN. Maybe the SEOmoz CDN provider (CloudFront) allows specific URLs to be blocked? Or do you detect the CloudFront IPs and serve them a 301 (which they'd proxy out to anyone requesting cdn.seomoz.org)? One solution is to create a pull zone that points to a folder, like example.com/images... but this doesn't help a complex site that has cacheable content in multiple places (do you Wordpress users really store ALL your static content under /wp-content/ ?). Or, as suggested above, dynamically detect requests from the CDN's proxy servers, and give them a 301 for any HTML-page request. This gets complex quickly, and is both prone to breakage and very difficult to regression-test. Properly retrofitting a complex site to use a CDN, without creating a half-dozen new CDN subdomains, does not appear to be easy.

Setting up .org and .net supplements
To help with DSEO we are consdering setting up a .org and .net of our brand name (the primary site runs off .com obviously). We are thinking that the net/org sites will: Be one page that is optimized as we need (standard stuff like copy, title, alt-tags, meta desc, etc.) Will be hosted on separate C-blocks Will have a google sitemap that is submitted to Google Webmaster Central Provides a link back to .com Any other suggestions? Are separate C-blocks necessary? Thanks, b
