KWs for review site: target *product* or *product review*?
-
Hi there,
Goal: increase organic targeted buyers traffic on a review site.
What I'm working on now: page optimizationAccording to Google's Keyword Tool usually the keyword Product has 50x searches than Product Review.
If you haven't tried it before you don't know how weird it sounds inserting too many times the keyword Product Review inside an actual review.
Given that my goal is to increase organic targeted buyers traffic on a review site. My questions are:
-
Do you target product or product review?
-
If you target product review does it make any difference if I insert the keyword product review in sidebar, menu, footer, breadcrumbs instead than in the actual body of the review? What is best? Body or surrounding?
-
Getting back-links on a blog is fairly easy. Anybody has any suggestion on how to get targeted backlinks for a review affiliate site or in general how to increase the organic targeted buyers traffic?
Thank youD.

Ltsmz,
You don't necessarily need to put the keyword "ProductName Review" several times on each page. However, if what you're showing on that page is indeed a review of that product, then I don't see why "ProductName Review" wouldn't be included in the copy, or header tag of the page. Once or twice should be plenty in most cases if you are repeating the words "ProductName" and "Review" each separately elsewhere on the page.

I would optimize for both, as outlined in my answer above.
-
Yes it makes a difference. Having the word "review" appear in a sitewide sidebar or footer is going to have much less of an impact than having it within the body of the content on the page.
-
Interview industry experts and ask what their favorite products are for a specific need. Email the winner of a comparison, possibly giving them a badge (e.g. "Editor's Pick") to display on their site. Create high-quality, useful comparison charts that compare the price and features of each product within that niche. Generally just have a really useful, well-designed, regularly updated website.

Stopping these scum sites from sending traffic.
What is the best way to deal with these: http://www.goldenclicking.com/ and www.payclicking.com They keep sending my site traffic, however I am not paying for it, and would prefer to stop these sites. The traffic never converts, and I can't see anywhere that I am paying for the traffic (they are not an affiliate, and can't see them on the GDN) - so I don't even know whats in it for them. Has anyone ever dealt with these types of sites previously, tips on getting them to stop. I was just considering black listing there domains so they can't even reach our site. Thanks in Advance. Andy

International Re-sellers Scrapping My Site Should I be Worried?
We are a USA based company and we only sell direct to the US and Canada. However, we have partnered with other companies that are now distributing our products in other places like Australia and Mexico for example. These partners have scrapped our site and have used large chunks of our content to create a website for themselves on their intentional domains (ex.. .au and .mx). How concerned should I be about this? Should I reach out to them and require that they use rel="alternate" hreflang="x" or request the to stop? I have never had to deal with international SEO issues before, so any advice and direction would be appreciated!

Why were all of my Amazon sites deindexed?
March 22nd.. The worst day of my Internet Marketing career. I got the dreaded message: Dear site owner or webmaster of http://www.ricecookerreviewz.com/ We've detected that some of your site's pages may be using techniques that are outside Google's Webmaster Guidelines. If you have any questions about how to resolve this issue, please see our Webmaster Help Forum for support. Here's some interesting points: All of the content is unique and highly targeted to each product. Site is around 4-5 months old Every single one of my Amazon sites were hit.. How did they connect my sites together..? Why were they hit? List of some of my deindexed sites: http://www.inversiontablereviewshq.net/ http://www.breadmachinereviewshq.net/ http://www.ricecookerreviewz.com/ http://www.cooker-reviews.com/ http://www.ab-machine-reviews.net/ They are most definitely not, "thin affiliate sites". They have dozens of reviews, tons of articles, recipes, video.. Each site is like this.. I have started over, fresh content from my writers, fresh theme, fresh everything. But still, I would appreciate an answer as to what I'm doing wrong so that I can learn to not make the same mistake. Thanks!

Two Tier Internet, Bad Blogs and One page Affiliate Sites
Hi, I start a post on a popular internet marketing forum about how bad blogs - (i.e. the ones with one posts of over optimise spun garbage) - and the one page affiliate sites - trying to sell you something... (you know the ones) - were REALLY starting to annoy me and if/when something would be done by ISP's or Anyone really. Obviously google is aware of the issue with trying to push Google Plus to crowd source better search results. But with more and more sites popping up telling people how they can make money from having a niche website/page with adwords on it aren't we fast moving to a two tier internet.... How websites/pages exist purely to game search engines.... and will they ever disappear.... Sorry mini rant..... might even get some ideas for a blog post 😛 (not on a bad blog before anyone says anything)
