Confusing Moz Crawl?
-
Hi there,
I am not sure if I am missing on something but the moz crawls are rather confusing. After singing in I have received 11 emails with crawls and today I have received again new,
When I go to check there to the dashboard it shows 26 pages with issues. When I scroll down I see the pages with issue. Then when I click on the first page listed, to view the issues it says this:
Rel Canonical
Using rel=canonical suggests to search engines which URL should be seen as canonical. For this site: http://villasdiani.com/ but we have sorted out the canonical issues a long time ago. Is this a wrong information or is it really true that we do not specify the canonical for our site? Then the second page with issue is there listed http://villasdiani.com/beach-villas/ and it says:
Duplicate Page Title
You should use unique titles for your different pages to ensure that they describe each page uniquely and don't compete with each other for keyword relevance. But it does not point out which page is duplicate with this one! I do not have any other page named the same way.
It also says in Issues overview 26pages with issues, but it shows on the bottom only 5 under and when I click on view more it brings me to high priority issues where is 0.
The most is freaking me out this report:
When I click on links, there are listed on the bottom the pages with highest authority among which I found this http://villasdiani.com/db I have never created this kind of page! Funny enough when I click on it it really open that page! How this can be???
In issues overview it also shows on the bottom, right corner 11 page with duplicate content but when I click on it to review it it brings me to high priority issues windows where is not displayed anything
Can somebody advice me regarding of this. I have sign up here to learn and sort out the problems with the site but so far I am only getting more confused here.
Thank you very much for looking into this.

Thank you very much for your time and looking into this.
I am very sorry but I am not sure if I understand you correctly:-( Perhaps you are using some translator? I have noticed you are from Czech republic, you can talk to me in Czech language, I speak this language very well.
As regarding of the duplicate page titles, how this can be duplicate???
http://villasdiani.com/rentals/beach-villas/
http://villasdiani.com/rentals/beach-villas/page/2/
http://villasdiani.com/rentals/beach-villas/page/3/
It is a category with properties and it has 3 pages?? how can I avoid to this?
Also as regarding of the weird link-the db page i just pasted a wrong link, crawl shows me that this one our most important pages:http://villasdiani.com/?db
What do you mean that url site map is failing for a dns lookup??? Oh my god what I have screwd up? How can I fix it? I am using yoast seo plugin.
/sitemap_index.xml
Thank you very much Frutiko (Hodne dekuji)

Hi Iris
Rel CanonicalThat 26 issues related with rel=canonical not neccasarily an issue like problem it can be recognition like there is a rel=canonical exists. Basicly moz mentions there is that tag involved with that pages.
Duplicate Page Title
Yeah u dont have a duplicated url(as u mentioned it never been created) but u have duplicated page titles related with that page. here is the list of them same title
Kenya Luxury.... Pool
http://villasdiani.com/rentals/beach-villas/
http://villasdiani.com/rentals/beach-villas/page/2/
http://villasdiani.com/rentals/beach-villas/page/3/
same problem exists for category/kenya-news/ (4 page)
rentals/beach-villas/ (3page)
rent/family-holiday-home/ (2 page)
category/diani-beach-restaurants-bars/ (2 pages)
To be able to see the mistakes instant and see them all in one place screaming frog is very good tool and up to 500url there is free version available.
/db page have a 404 error
and ur site map is failing for a dns lookup
/sitemap_index.xml
hope that helps

I added a privacy policy link to my footer and now Moz is showing thousands of 4xx errors
My website didn't have a privacy policy so I added one and put the link in the footer menu. When I did this, Moz came back telling me that there are a lot of new errors on the site. Is this a bad thing? Do I need to address it? HY59Iks sYyAHCB

How do I disallow crawl on a directory when it's a prefix to my site's URL?
I am trying to disallow our media repository (hosted elsewhere, but appears as a directory on our site) from being crawled by robots but it is not a subdirectory of the site, it's a prefix. So I need to disallow: mediabank.mywebsite.org Not: mysite.org/mediabank What would I need to put in my robots.txt and/or the other host's robots.txt to make this happen? Thanks!

Keyword research in Moz - Am I missing something?…
I'm fairly new at SEO and am still trying out MOZ. I'm finding myself wishing that Moz had a broader set of tools for keyword research, but am wondering if maybe I'm just missing something. Am I correct in saying that there is no place within Moz that you can get keyword ideas, select/organize keywords, find new/related keywords? I've appreciated the keyword difficulty tool and have played around with Moz Analytics keyword tracking, but these don't help with the broader keyword research aspect. The various tutorials talk about using Google AdWords Keyword Planner and other tools to do that job. But with all that Moz can do, it just seems backwards to do lots of copying-pasting from other tools into Moz, or to have to rely on old excel spreadsheets to organize keywords. It seems that life would be much easier if Moz would be able to pull that kind of external research information in, like Raven does. That way you do most of your research within Moz – allowing you to organize/evaluate potential keywords BEFORE choosing the ones you would like to test for difficulty or track. That way you could simply select the desired keywords and add them to your tracked list. The way it is now, even the one research tool that Moz does have (keyword difficulty) does not allow for an easy way to track or manage a chosen set of keywords. For example, after doing some keyword difficulty analysis, I've chose 5 keywords. To add these 5 to the tracked keywords in a specific campaign I can't just select them and say "track keywords > in xxx campaign". From what I've understood, I must copy-and-paste them into the manage keyword section of the desired campaign. To me this all feels a bit awkward. But since I'm new at this, maybe I'm just missing something? Or maybe it's unrealistic to expect a single tool to address all my SEO needs?

Does anyone else have issues with Moz's keyword search volume tool for Google's search engine?
It will show the search volume for Bing even when Google is selected. Then, if you select Bing, you'll get the same data as it shows for when you selected "google". So basically, this tool does not work for Google's search engine. Or it is most likely not a reliable way to perform keyword research. Anyone else notice this? Does Moz even offer a way to submit a support ticket to get this fixed?

MOZ crawl test is not reporting on all the pages on my site.
I've run the crawl test one of the sites I've taken over SEO for, however its only picking all the pages. For instance it indexes all the pages under xxxxx/us but none under xxxxx/au or xxxxx/uk The pages are being indexed as they're ranking in Google. Thanks.

Where to find one off crawl report
Hello, I don't know if I am being a bit daft but I don't seem to be able to find the area where I can request a one off crawl report anymore (rather than setting up a campaign). Can someone let me know where this is now? Thanks!
