Keyword Ranking Question - Paid Ads?
-
Hi everyone.
I have a question about the Keyword Ranking tool. I am currently tracking 93 keywords.
My question is, does the ranking count just organic rankings or does it count if my company is spending money on a google ad? So for instance, if all paid ads were stopped on Google, the current keywords we rank for according to the MOZ tool shouldn't change, right?
Thanks.

Hi,
Mike is correct. Your organic search traffic and ranking is for organic keywords only. A way to double check your ranking: download the Moz bar, and when you type a query into Google, you will see a bold number under each result indicatng it's rank in position. You will not see this number next to an ad.
Hope that helps!

The keyword tracking tool is for organic rankings.

Keyword Explorer shows wrong data
Hi all, Trying to figure out what is going on with the keyword explorer. All searches are made in the EN-US region. Example keyword: app localization
Moz Bar | | Fred.Visnevsky
Moz shows me that volume is 0-10, which is Wrong. Actual volumes are in thousands per month. Another keyword - translation service
Moz shows the volume as 2480 when actual volumes are in tens of thousands. I can give many more examples like this - what is going on? NZGzX2p.png vzIwMoe.png1 -
How do you delete keywords in bulk?
Hi, in the 'rankings' section of one of my campaigns, I want to delete almost 200 keywords. Is there a way to delete keywords in bulk please? The only way I can find is to individually select keywords to delete but this will take too long to do with almost 200 keywords. Thanks

Does Organic CTR from Keyword Explorer show percentage of 1st position clicks? If not, how to calculate?
I have two questions about the Organic CTR number from the Moz Keyword Explorer tool. I have read through the description here, but it is not very clear on what I need to know: https://mza.seotoolninja.com/community/q/what-is-a-good-keyword-opportunity-score Does it calculate the percent of searchers that are likely to click on ANY of links from page one of the traditional organic search results? Or does it calculate the percent of searchers that are likely to click on the NUMBER 1 position of the traditional organic search results? I suspect the answer will be that it calculates the percentage of clicks for any of the traditional organic search results from page one. Which leads me to question two... I'm trying to calculate the estimated search traffic from each keyword if there was a number 1 ranking. And if the Organic CTR shows the percentage of clicks going to any of the traditional organic search results I need to add a modifier to my formula which will calculate how many clicks the number 1 ranking receives. So I think the formula would will look something like this: Monthly website traffic from keyword = monthly search traffic * Organic CTR * Number 1 Position CTR. In this case, what would I use for the "Number 1 Position CTR" modifier?

Tracked Ranking Keywords in Campaign and Ranking Keywords in Keyword Explorer are coming up with very different results - does anybody know why?
We have a campaign set up that is tracking keywords with varying monthly volumes and the website is ranking for them. I have gone into the new Keyword Explorer Feature (looks great!) and I have tested it by putting in the root domain address mentioned above. My problem is that none of the keywords that I am tracking and ranking for are appearing in the "ranking keywords" report in Keyword Explorer. Does anybody know why this might be happening?

Keywords Score Meter
Hi Moz, I am using the keywords difficulty tool from your site and find it is quite useful 🙂 I research the community and find the data should be interpreted in the following way. But when I did a quick research for one keyword. The tool bar gives me a data of 22% showing in Yellow and says the keyword is competitive when I hover my mouse. Should this be **Blue **and easy to rank keyword based on the score? Which one should I believe? Sub 30 - (Blue) Low hanging fruit you can take advantage of. 30 - 35 (Green) Fairly easy with good on page and some quality anchored links. 35 - 40 - (Yellow) Will take a bit more work but still in reach may require, good on-site SEO and a solid link profile. 40 - 50 (Orange) Domain authority plays a much more pivotal role so it may take longer to rank for. 50+ (Red) All about resources. Onsite SEO needs to be totally nailed, including internal linking/ topic modelling etc. a strong & diverse link profile with good social signals and ... time. Thanks in advance. Keyword Difficulty Search Engine Selection
I'm using the Keyword Difficulty tool. The results generated are Bing search engine results, even though I have selected Google for the search engine. I cannot get this feature to work, and I've tried it in both Chrome and Firefox. What's going on here...??

Rankings Tool Shows 'Wed' for Most Keywords
Hi Folks, I have 300 keywords in the moz rankings tool but I would say over 90% of them simply show a 'WED' icon instead of the icon. It has been like this for nearly 3 weeks now. Any ideas why this is? Cheers Gaz
