How to pull metrics from API for a top 100 list
-
I'm working on a top 100 list for my industry and need a way to pull DA for the list of blogs and then sort them in descending order until it can pull other metrics (Alexa and follower count). Right now I am doing the above manually and was trying to hunt for a way for the table to update on a set date.
any help / guidance appreciated

Hey ArfanB,
The best place to get support help for our API products is actually the Developer Discussion Group. Our engineering community monitors that and you'll generally get a response within 48 hours. You'll also find a ton of other resources there from customers who've asked API related questions previously.
Thanks!
Best,
Sam

Location Data Batch Updates via the MOZ API
According to the MOZ API documentation, I am able to update multiple Locations in a batch in order to create or update their location data, currently 130 locations. I have successfully created a batch and the API returned the $id, as I expected. Yet, it doesn't make clear how the multiple locations I want to update are supposed to be sent back to the API. I was expecting an upload of a CSV file or JSON data, and not Query Parameter as noted in the docs. When including a JSON file, properly formatted, as a binary upload, the response is still expecting a locations parameter. See error here: { "status":"MISSING_PARAMETER", "message":"locations missing. ", "response": { "locations":"MISSING_PARAMETER" } } https://mza.seotoolninja.com/developers/docs/local/api#_api_batch__id-PATCH

Unknown data items in Links API response
So I'm on the documentation page at https://mza.seotoolninja.com/help/links-api/making-calls/url-metrics . I've copied the bit fields table into a spreadsheet. I've removed all the "deprecated" items and have totalled up the remaining items making a Cols= value of 182537205900657000. For want of better knowledge, I've used that same value for LinkCols=, SourceCols= and TargetCols=. The request url ends up being (anonymized): http://lsapi.seomoz.com/linkscape/links/fordanddoonan.com.au?Cols=182537205900657000&AccessID=xxx&Expires=1557458487346&Signature=xxx&SourceCols=182537205900657000&TargetCols=182537205900657000&LinkCols=182537205900657000&Limit=1000&Scope=page_to_domain&Filter=external My question is, what do I make of all the extra fields that I get in the json packet what should I do to remove them? These extra fields are: lrid, lsrc, ltgt, luufq, luueid, lufeid, luujid, luumrp, luumrr, luflan, lufspf, lufsplc, lufspp, lufsps, lufspsc, luus, lufuid, lupuid, lufipl, luupa, lupda, luued, lufed, luped, lupib, luulc, flan, fspf, fsplc, fspp, fsps Is it simply a case of limiting the values of TargetCols, LinkCols and SourceCols? If so, to what?

API Limit Question
Hi, I am unfamiliar with API's in general but never had an issue with being throttled until today. I used the api a lot heavier today which is why. According to the API dashboard I made 5100 "requests" today and 21,000 "rows returned". I am using a MOZ PRO account and have been throttled as a result. I am wondering when does it reset? Is it a daily, weekly, or monthly limit that I hit and what is the limit? Thanks

Are EC2 servers blocked from using the Moz API?
Hi I've created a script that I'd like to use to check a list of domains using the Moz API. It works totally fine on my local machine. However, when I run it from my EC2 instance, it fails every time. To be specific, the response is always empty (the response is an empty json array) when the request is sent from EC2. Is, for some reason, EC2 blocked by the Moz API? Many thanks for your help, Andrew
