Does anyone have some examples of Ecommerce websites that have great product reviews that are SEO friendly?
-
I am trying setup product reviews on an Ecommerce site and was wondering if there were some good websites to create a model around that is SEO friendly.
Right now my reviews are in a separate directory off the review (http://www.example.com/review/product/etc) and I would like my reviews to be attributed to the product page to add in free, fresh, unique content that contains valuable information for both the user and SEO (new keyword derivatives).
Also any suggestions on getting users to leave reviews? Whether it is a monetary incentive/coupon or a free method (of course this is preferred :))
Thanks in advance!

To get more reviews, we email approx. 1 month after purchase.
Social media channels can help, too. Sometimes calling the reviews - "product feedback -- help us improve our products!" can appeal to a different segment of potential reviews. You can have fun social media contests around writing reviews of products.
Product reviews are a channel unto themselves, in my opinion. I do like the message board idea. I feel like message boards seem a little dated.

I have done a lot with Interspire's Shopping Cart (which is the self hosted version of www.BigCommerce.com)
This has a review feature built in - and the REVIEWS appear directly under the product that is reviewed. Admin can control and edit reviews too (as you will have to approve them manually - which is a very sensible idea.)
Hopefully your users will leave reviews which are rich in related keywords - and I am sure that some shameless owners probably manufacture their own reviews just to gain a bit of additional on page keyword content - tskk tssk!
You could also setup a forum for additional product discussions alongside the main ecommerce site and allow users to engage in product discussion - with some links to the associated products and incentivise users who submit product reviews and articles?

Hello, I am working on planning for a redesign of a eCommerce clothing website. Looking for some inspiration on some good examples of clothing companies using their content well. Need suggestion to place longer content on products category page
Hi All, I wanted to place longer content on products category page, Currenty I am showing product listing first and then small description at the end of listing.I don't want to add longer content either bottom or top. I want to make two tabs at the top of each category pages like Products | Informtion In Product section (after clicking on it) I want to display all products listing & in Information tab (after clicking on it) 2-3 paragraphs of webpage content but I'm afraid If I will place the content in this way Google won't index content and my purpose of adding webpage content to target long tail keywords won't fulfill. Please suggest me if you have any better idea & let me know what I am going to do would be good or not in SEO perspective. Thanks

In light of the Interflora advertorials debacle where do you think bloggers stand with regard to product reviews?
I realise the main blame fell on the newspapers for what was essentially cash for links, but a separate part of the PR push was sending flowers to bloggers who then blogged about it. I can see that this could be construed by Google to be a breach of their t&cs, but equally it could be a legitimate action by the blogger if they are giving an honest viewpoint. Is the Google Chrome "satchel" ad being unintentionally misleading? If it's all down to the intention that's a worryingly grey area to be stuck in, what do you think?

How does one write different pages of their website that are very similar in nature with using too much duplicate content?
We are a service provider and we have different links on our website to each of our services. The problem is the content that we would have for each is very similar. How can I ensure that it is not deemed duplicate content and ranked poorly because of it. Thanks

How to Handle SEO for Daily and Weekly Market Updates
I have a market news and education site focused on the bond market. Each day we have an end of day market wrapup piece. We also have several weekly pieces as well as pieces that come out once a month. My question is how should I handle these from an SEO standpoint? When someone searches for "bond market update" for example I want my latest piece to show up in the results. Similarly when someone searches for "savings bond interest rate forecast" I would also like the report for that month to be the one that they find. Here are two examples of what I am talking about: http://www.learnbonds.com/us-savings-bond-forecast-3272012/ and http://www.learnbonds.com/bond-market-recap-41712/ Any assistance would be appreciated. Thanks Dave

How to organize content for ecommerce site
Hello, We've decided to create 24 articles of content for our ecommerce site, everything from an FAQ to history of the products to 10 articles on the top 10 products. Really useful to the user. How do you suggest that we make our content visible to the users? We could put a nice button on our right banner that says "Extensive Help Session" or we could put a banner on our home page or we could make it a tab at the top of the screen. We could additionally make a well organized footer with links to the articles. Or we could do all of those but that might be overkill. What do you suggest?
