Google search: 'define:____'

Thrilled that Google is pulling our content over wikipedia (in this instance). Wondering how we can assure more success like this.

Gartner.com -
Hi Mike, this is awesome but strangely, the only page on Wikipedia that gets returned for the following query,
"inurl:digitalization site:wikipedia.org" in Google is <cite class="_Zd">ar.wikipedia.org/wiki/Digitalization</cite> that too in Arabic language. So they do not have the exact match definition in English at this point in time as I write this. You can confirm this with the following query:
"inurl:digitalization site:en.wikipedia.org"
Out of the first 10 results in Google for the query, "inurl:digitalization", I tried to run the following query for each of these top 10 websites:
"inurl:digitalization site:<each 10="" of="" the="" top="" domain="" names="">",</each>
Only Gartner.com has 26 URLs (with "digitalization" in the URL) with only one exception, digitalization.nl which can be ruled out as the domain name itself contains, "digitalization". This case can be dug much, much deeper but let me stop here.
Without having dug deeper in to this case, at this point, the only thing I believe would replace Gartner's definition with the definition from Wikipedia is, if they come up with a page that contains the term, "digitalization" in the URL and in the title.
Best regards,
Devanur Rafi

What should I be shooting for for search visibility percentage?
Realistically - what's a "good" search visibility score? I'm working on a site that has been around less than a year. We are doing 3 blogs a week with carefully selected keywords. I know it will take time and lots of SEO work - but I'm interested in any ideas on what I should shoot for. Thanks for any thoughts! (Also not a local listing or anything - national search.)

When Content creation isn't an option...
I currently work as an SEO/SEO in training. Oftentimes I get projects that require me to look at well established websites of big brands, the kind one would assume put a lot of effort into their sites, and make SEO changes. Additionally they want "actionable" changes that can be made on the fly so content creation, and most linkbuilding, is usually out of the question. Does this limit me to just changing meta titles and descriptions? What if all that seems alright too?

Will google put logo's in as author snippets?
Are they smart enough to tell it is not a mug shot and then not show it? Has anyone ever seen a logo as a snippet? What are some of the factors to with whether they show them or not?

Keyword density and it's impact?
How beneficial is properly optimised text on your website? I have been reading copy blogger and they seem to think it's almost the foundations and can have a massive impact - thus their software for improving optimised text. So... The way I see it, content can fit into 3 areas: 1. Over optimised - keyword stuffed 2. Produced without the keyword in mind and then small changes, maybe the keyword used once or twice within 500 words, slotted into the h1 tag. 3. Optimised - At the front of the h1 tag, density of roughly 3-4%, emphasised with bold and italic. What kind of impact can number 3 really have on rankings? If your position 7/8 could it be possible to see position movement from content changes? Cheers

Google indexing https insted of http pages
Hi!
On-Page Optimization | | ovieira
First of all i have a Wordpress portuguese languagem website (**http://**bit.ly/TGjpVx). For a while, for security pourposes, i had a SSL certificate installed on my website but i didn't renew it, for a few months now. I didn't have any special https page. All pages responded using http or https. My problem is that it seems that Google still indexes some o my webpages with https and not http, so when people click on it they get a bad cached page. No good for SEO, i think. What can i do about this? I only want Google, and other serach engines, to index my clean http pages (about 70 pages). Thanks,

Blog Comment IPs Seen By Google?
I have a page on a client's site for testimonials (a dental practice). The page is actually a post on a Wordpress install where customers can enter their testimonials as WP comments. In an effort to encourage more clients to give more testimonials I was considering setting up an iPad or other tablet at the receptionist's desk where patients would be able to enter their successes as comments on the page. If I made sure the patients all used unique names and emails in the Wordpress comments, would Google still see all the comments are from the same IP and view this as suspicious?
