No Google Analytics code on page BUT reporting is active

How could Google Analytics be reporting data if my pages don't have the GA code on them?

Hi Mike,
There's some good suggestions by the folks above, but I'm assuming you're still having issues. It sounds like you might need an extra set of eyes, so if you're still stuck with this issue, I'd be happy to take a look for you. Of course, it's all in complete confidence - you can e-mail me at [email protected] if you want to take up the offer.
Hopefully it's just a quirk

You can install the Tag assistant extension for chrome. This helps you figure out what google tags are on your page.

FYI an easier way is there is the following tool - http://spyonweb.com/ it will list the domains sharing the GA code.
-
This takes us down another path (won't explain why we have LESS traffic than shown by another tool), however, yes, there seem to be a couple of surprises...showing 5-40 sessions out of MANY.

Could be on a external javascript file. Have you checked those referenced on your site?

Try creating a custom report in Google Analytics to view all of the Hostnames that have your GA code.
> Custom Reports
> Metrics Groups (your choice [sessions])
> Dimension Drilldowns
- Hostname
This will give you a report of all the domains that have your GA code - are there any surprises here?
-
No. GA seems to work fine across our large enterprise site, however, there is a directory of 50+ pages for which GA is reporting data yet the snippet seems to be hidden on the page.

Have you gone to your GA and admin>Tracking info >Tracking code. From here it will tell you if its working or not it will also tell you the code. if its working there somewhere on your site is the code its tracking.
Did you set it up? Can you also ask who did and find out how it was set up too?

Another website has your GA code?

Whatstuffwherebot user agent messing up Google Analytics
Starting yesterday, Aug 26, 2020, I noticed a new bot crawling our site with user agent whatstuffwherebot. Google Analytics is counting these hits as human traffic, completely throwing off my numbers - yesterday, Analytics reported nearly triple my typical number of visitors. As of now, Search Console only shows data through Aug 25 so I don't know if Search Console is also affected. Is anybody else seeing something similar? Does anybody know what the whatstuffwherebot bot is? I don't get any results when I search on Google or Bing. For what it's worth, the traffic is coming from Columbus, OH, running over Amazon AWS via 278 different IP addresses so far. Also, WordFence (my WordPress security plugin) correctly identifies these hits as bot traffic.

Drop in Bounce Rate in Google Analytics
Hi guys, I have recently seen a large drop in bounce rate (from GA) which seems unnatural for one of our clients website. Since the start of 2018, the bounce rate was consistently between 40-60%, and then saw a random spike, and now for the past two weeks, the bounce rate is below 10%. I was wondering if anyone had any ideas if this is a problem with GA, or the site itself. Site: https://www.zoomocarcredit.com/ Any comments/feedback is greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance! Jack. Has Google Analytics Funnel Visualisation changed / stopped working?
Yesterday my funnel visualisation tab in the updated GA interface was showing data flow. However today there is nothing showing in the graphical element despite showing some goal completion figures as a headline. Have they stopped doing up to the minute visualisation in favour of delayed results? Anyone else experiencing similar? Thanks in advance Tim

The best way to track internal links in Google Analytics
Hi there, we are a retail business and we have invested in quality editorial content which sits in our Blog at ourwebsite.co.uk/blog/ The Blog links to the main site (an online store) and I want to track the 'value' of the blog by how many clicks the blog content generates back to the main store. At the moment we're using this code on the end of every link in the Blog: ?utm_source=Blog&utm_medium=Widget&utm_campaign=FromBlog Does this affect SEO and is there a better way of doing it? Thanks.
