How does Moz Local respond when confronted with a YEXT verified listing?
-
From what I can tell, Yext overrides Moz Local. So if you're paying Moz Local for listing service & someone else comes along and purchase Yext for that same business's listing, the directories incorporated with Yext WILL NOT listen to Moz Local. They show the Yext listing information.
Can I get this confirmed by someone at Moz? Point being... if in Moz Local vs Yext, Moz Local always loses to Yext, there's not a lot of point in having Moz Local -- Especially since Yahoo now requires Yext to update Yahoo Local Map listings.

Thanks. That's the information I was looking for.
In our particular vertical, there are several "organizations" who try to claim the directory listings/citations. Some of them have gone the route of Yext and taken our listings/citations from us, thus prompting the question as the client properties in question are using the Moz Local service and losing citations due to Yext via a 3rd party.

You are correct that we are not able to over ride Yext quite yet. While this does seem odd, we do have a way to bypass what is already in place.
Moz Local is meant to be an alternative to Yext, at a lower pricing point. By updating the core data aggregators that the primary local search engines rely on for their baseline data, we try to set ourselves a part from other alternatives. If you choose to cancel your Yext account and use Moz Local to publish your listings, we can establish listings on all the partners in our network—but we cannot override your existing listings with some of our partners if you're managing them separately.
We're not sure of the exact steps Yext takes when you cancel an account with them, although Nyagoslav Zhekov wrote this recent case study (http://www.ngsmarketing.com/dawson-family-faith-learning-hard-way/) about the impact of this decision. We can assure you that we'll immediately publish your listings to the sites they don't cover and all the other sites in your network once you start using Moz Local.

Suspended Google my Business listing - Moz local created a new one - best way forward?
I had a suspended Google my Business listing and Moz local automatically created a new one because I had synced GMB with Moz and selected the option to push data there from Moz Local. The new GMB listing is verified and I dont know why the previous one was suspended. What's the best way forward? Should Ijust delete the suspended listing and edit this new one, or I should still submit the reinstatement request for the suspended one? Many thanks

Moz information (Rankings, Search Visibility, etc.) not working
Good afternoon! I had a quick concern / question that I wanted to ask the community. One of my campaigns hasn't moved at all since we put them into our account. Everything has stayed static: 0.00% Search Visibility, 0 Keywords Ranking, 0 Moved Up, 0 Moved Down, etc., They have been in Moz for roughly a month now. Does anyone know what might be happening? We are trying to get solid data for our client, but we can't seem to get Moz to index it, perhaps? Let me know what you think!

Q: At what point in time should I submit a "corrected" NAP to MOZ Local in the process of cleaning up NAP in the directory ecosystem?
1- Can I submit a "corrected" NAP to Moz Local and trust that all the incorrect info in the entire directory ecosystem will get corrected? If the answer is yes, how long would this take? 2- Should I change the incorrect NAP listings in the "other" directories that MOZ doesn't have an agreement with, before I submit a "corrected" NAP to MOZ.? Thanks for the info:-)

New Company with Google+ but not in directories. Does Moz add those even though they show no listing status?
I am submitting a new company. I created a Google+ account that's been verified. Once it's on Moz local, will it be added to these directories even though it's not showing up that the business exists?

Does purchasing a Moz Local listing allow you to report old incorrect addresses?
I know this is pretty basic, but I've had trouble finding a way to report old, incorrect addresses. It almost seems like they want you to purchase a second listing to claim that one. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks, Tom

MOZ Local
Is MOZ Local considered a direct competitor to Yext? My company currently uses Yext for its local directory listings, but it is very expensive. Is MOZ Local a superior substitute?

Error's while trying to upload listings
Moz Local continues to tell me there are errors with the excel document i'm uploading. So as told I saved it as a .csv and tried to close out and it a notice continues to comes saying " This workbook contains features that will not work or may be removed if you save it in the selected file format. Do you want to continue? " both options don't close the document and I can't close the document without losing the work i've done. What do I do?
