Looking for new insights on link building for an SEO/Marketing Agency
-
I work Online Visibility/SEO for a marketing agency and we're looking for new ways to generate higher external links. We mostly do local B2B SEO - as well as our competitors. If anyone knows any great tips for social media, blogging, content, etc. send them over here!

Hi!
I recommend starting with the Learn section on our site. We have a great amount of resources to help with a lot of this stuff including a beginner's guide to social media, guide to link building, and lot of other goodies. We also put on biweekly webinars that cover a range of topics, and you sign up for future ones, our mailing list for alerts about upcoming ones, and view past ones of interest.

Facebook Name Change and Effect on SEO
Hey Moz! Working with a company who has about 20K followers on Facebook and about 500 backlinks to their current facebook page. They want to change the name of the page to better reflect the business. I need to advise on this but I'm not sure of and how it will effect them. Any one had any experience in this area?

Is there an SEO benefit/drawback to streaming social media to your site?
I understand how streaming social media, especially if you have a great social media community, can be effective in terms of capturing customers. However, I'm purely interested in knowing what it does for SEO. For example, does streaming social media make it look like your home page (or whatever page(s) has it) are constantly being updated? Or, does streaming g+ have a positive effect but facebook not so much? Or, does it have a negative effect for whatever reason that might be? Thanks, Ruben

Possible to automate/semi-automate twitter followers into specified list(s) after the fact without doing so one-by-one?
I have a list of about 3,000 Twitter followers and would like to segment my followers into separate lists for "emergency preparedness" and "travel." Is there a tool that can help me automate this without reviewing each profile one-by-one?

Pintrest and SEO
Can a company benefit from Pinrest? and if so what type of Company? I know that some companies can for example, if I sold hair supplies and I placed images of hair styles when a user clicks on my picture it directs them to my site which is relevant I know they will likely interact, However if I offer a service like an SEO service, can Pintrest hurt my SEO efforts by creating a higher bounce rate. Someone clicks on my picture or repins it when they get to my site they lose interest. Does this influence my results for better or worse? and I know that Pintrest is nofollow, so I don't expect to get any link juice from an image link.

What would be a good way to drive traffic to a temporary post - job posting / classified ad?
I was wondering what would be the best way to drive traffic to a posting that will only last 30 days. I didn't think linking would be the answer, but wanted to get opinions. I was thinking pinging and social media (Facebook, Linkedin, Twitter)... What would your strategy be?

Does the value of Twitter/FB shares change depending on the url used?
I have a really hard time wrapping my head around the use rel canonical. I just watched WBF and it brought up a question that I had. I had a situation where some of my pages could be accessed a couple of ways: www.mydomain/question1.php?id=24-keyword-rich-url, or www.mydomain/question1.php?id=24 I used rel canonical to tell the search engines that the keyword rich url was the one to index. Now, we all know that shares on Twitter, FB, etc. can add value to my site's SEO. So, if someone happens to be on the non-keyword-rich url and they click a button to share, do I still get the same seo benefit? Which brings me to a related question...if someone shares your content via a bitly or other shortened domain, is there any difference to the benefit you would get as compared to them sharing the full domain name?
