Free Link Prospecting Tool
-
Hi All,
I am seeking a truly free, not just free trial, but 100% free link prospecting tool beyond using search modifiers on Google. I am constantly trying to find new sites to do outreach to based on a set of relevant keywords in specific geographies and the process is becoming cumbersome.
I really appreciate any tools or advice on how to scale finding quality sites that are relevant for my keywords.

the closest I have come is a process defined at http://www.seerinteractive.com/blog/crush-link-prospecting-with-free-tools
This is still a multi-step process when Ideally i am looking for a tool like Link Prospector by Citation Labs, and get an output of great sites.

Gotcha! Yeah other than OSE (which is paid to get full access as you know), I'm not sure of any "freemium" modeled tools that would accomplish your goal. Hopefully someone reads this and delivers us both an early X-mas gift
Sorry bout that dude. Best of luck!!

Hi Bryan,
While the tool you suggested is a neat tool, it does not help with prospecting for new links. It only shows what links have already been received.
any other tool suggestions on finding new sites based on a set of keywords for a specific geography would be great.

Hey DJReason!
Other than the new features in OSE, maybe try SEO Review Tools...
Its free so I hope it does what you are looking for. Cheers!

Internal links: How do I find keywords that are not linked to a URL?
Hi Moz members I'd really like to place an internal link of every instance of an important keyword phrase "cycling caps" or "cycling cap" to my eComm category page

https://www.prendas.co.uk/collections/headwear/cotton-caps I feel this would not only help my customers browsing my store, but I believe it will help from an SEO perspective. How can I search my site using Moz, Screaming Frog, Google etc to find every time cycling cap(s) is used but is not linked to the above URL? I can then apply the same for cycling jerseys, socks, etc Andy0 -
Does link have any value?
I recently received a link, but upon inspecting the page source on the site I did not see the link in the coding. Is this a link with any SEO value? Is google able to see this link? Note: Upon inspecting the actual link on the page, I do see coding with a followed link, but on the page source, only the actual table in which it is listed shows in the coding, with none of the content - including our link, showing.

Link building strategy - my weak link!
Please help me understand link building. I've read the articles on Moz, but they seem vague to me. Specific questions: 1. How do I get my webpage on good quality sites? 2. Guest blogging? Good or not? 3. What about when people pick up one of our blog stories and publish it on their site with a link back? Is that bad now because it is duplicate content??? 4. Forum posts with a link in the signature? Good or not? 5. Directories - I get it that these are no longer good... are they severely negative? Should I take them down. 6. PR - Looks like this is bad... right??? 7. Youtube - any value? 8. Pinterst, LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook, Instagram? Any value to backlinks here? 9. What about sites like redit? 10. Anything else I should consider?

Link profile clean up
Hello everyone, we are actively working on cleaning the backlink profile of some of our sites. But I am confused on what needs to be done. Now it's possible to find some toxic or deadly domain where our site has been linked from without our approval, but if we remove all those sites, and may be all the site that have a poor domain authority and/or no PR rank (< 1), our profile will look too clean don't you think? . My questions are : If we over clean our profile are we not manipulating our links, so Google will not like it? Is a natural profile will not be a mix of all those domains (poor and good quality)? We are trying to see what to keep or try to get deleted/disavow, so we could try to claim some of our lost ranking back 🙂 Thanks for your help on this, Cheers, Mounir

JavaScript is crawled by search engines, isn’t it? Does it mean that links embedded in JavaScript pass link juice?
I wonder If links embedded in JavaScript from an external Website pass link juice to the linked page and thus have a positive effect on google rankings. I read that JavaScipt is craweld. Does it mean that also the link juice is passed? I'm looking forward to your answers.
