Google Crawl Stats
-
Hi all
Wondering if anyone could help me out here. I am seeing massive variations in WMT of google crawl stats on a site I run. Just wondering if this is normal (see attached image). The site is an eccommerce site and gets a handful of new products added every couple of weeks. The total no of products is about 220k so this is only a very small %.
I notice in WMT I have an amber warning under Server connectivity. About 10 days back I had warnings under DNS, Server and Robots. This was due to bad server performance. I have since moved to a new server and the other two warnings have gone back to green. I expect the Server connectivity one to update any day now.
Ive included the graph for this incase it is relevant here.
Many thanks for assistance.

Looking at the snapshots and the description I think this is not really a big problem! As you moved to a new server, it is normal for a crawling rate to go high (talking from the personal experience). And as you said you have moved to a new server so it will take a bit of a time before that yellow will turn in to green again.
Hope this helps!

Google Search Console
To the Moz Community, Should we be considering the information that Google Search Console is telling us? It is showing a dramatic drop in our SEO and our pages are not being indexed, however it is showing differently in our Moz Analytics section. Any clarification will be greatly appreciated. Many thanks Dawn

Webmaster tools crawl errors
Hi there, iv been tracking my webmaster tools crawl errors for a while now(6 months) and im noticing some pages that are far gone 404 are still poping out on the crawl errors. - that pages have no data for xml linking, and remote linking are from pages that are far gone 404 also. that pages have 404 error page + redirect to homepage, and google still notice them with old cache content. does someone have a clue why is this happening?

Homepage disappeared from Google's index
The Title says it all..I just discovered that the Homepage is not in Google's index anymore. Homepage rankings have plummeted, our top keywords are nowhere to be found but most of keywords from deeper pages have dropped just one or two places. We just change the website design and some content but I strongly believe this is definitely something else due to the fact that it all happened so fast! There is one thing that I have to mention that might have been caused all this..our email client (Outlook) is using a lot of resources from our server and for the last couple of days the website was down quite a lot.

Google Analytics Report throws up Google as a referrer
Good morning from Wet & Windy 12 degrees C wetherby UK... Using Google analytics I've noticed in the traffic sources refferer subsection some traffic is categorized as originating from Google. Whats puzzling me is.... I know a huge amount of traddic stems from Google but as the below screenshot illustrates only 21 visitors come from Google: http://i216.photobucket.com/albums/cc53/zymurgy_bucket/google-refferal-sources-top-levelcopy.jpg And when i drill down some are coming from Google mobile 😞 http://i216.photobucket.com/albums/cc53/zymurgy_bucket/google-referral-sourcescopy.jpg Is traffic categorised as Google referrer down to Google hiding searches via ssl as explained here: http://i216.photobucket.com/albums/cc53/zymurgy_bucket/google-referral-sourcescopy.jpg Any insights welcome 🙂
