Linkedin "company website" link - any value?
-
Hi
So, on Linkedin, I can put my company website. I've been trying to figure out if this is a nofollow, or do follow - or, not even really a link.
Here's how it appears in my profile's source code
Websites
- <a target="_blank" <strong="">href="/redir/redirect?url=http%3A%2F%2Fmaxvape%2Ecom&urlhash=MtlQ&trk=ppro_website">Company Website</a>
Is this even a "link"? I'm guessing the way it is built, no it's not even a nofollow link.
Secondly, does anyone know any good link-juice you can get form Linkedin.
Thanks!

Bingo - I agree Joe! To me it looks like the way LinkedIn built this, it's not even a no-follow link.
If anyone else knows of any LinkedIn strategy, I'd love to hear more.

My view is no actual link juice is passed through to your website with the Linkedin re-direct script. I have never seen a Linkedin link on any of my clients back links list for the link equity domain listings. That being said I would use Linkedin as a great source for networking to grow your business.
Hope that helps,
Joe

Hello Ted,
sorry, my mistake, i meant GWT -> Google Webmaster Tools

What is GTW?

This is for sure a follow link so they are followed by the search engine
But the follow link is not to your website, rather redirects, so i´m not sure how much link juice is your site getting.
I would try it and check in GWT if google detect it is as a link from linkedin

Redirect social media links to https?
Hi fellow SEO-ers! One of the sites I'm responsible for uses a Twitter or Facebook feed on most of their pages, next to their unique content. As the tweets (twits?) and comments in some of these feeds are old, they still refer to the old Twitter and Facebook-domains using http (instead of https). These links are all automatically 301-redirected, but still make up ca. 9% of the links on the site. Do you think that this affects SEO? I doubt it, because I suppose that Google has seen this many times and understands that these links are still pointing to the same content. Although my client is prepared to write a script to auto-update all these links, I think it won't make a difference. What do you think? Thanks for your feedback!

Social data for links
Hey can anyone recommend a tools out there, which can look at a list of urls (over 20+) and it will show the social stats for each url (e.g. number of Facebook Shares, Tweets, etc)? Or a tool which searchers within a certain category or niche (might be based on the keyword you entered), and finds the most shared content? Cheers, Chris

Should OG tags be used on a websites homepage?
My current shopping cart uses OG tags on about 1/2 of all pages, it puts them on product pages and that about it. Would it be beneficial to have these tags on all pages? Thanks for your time.

How to Position Yourself When Doing Link Building & Outreach on behalf of Clients?
One of the things we struggle with is how to position ourselves when doing outreach such as link building on behalf of a client. We know many times it is best for outreach to come directly from the client themselves so that it comes across as more genuine. However, some clients prefer to outsource the entire process. When doing outreach on behalf of clients, how do you position yourself? Are you typically transparent about being a marketer working for an agency, or do you spin it more as being someone 'with' the company? Does it ever make sense to use aliases?
