How do I work out which term is more commonly searched, workforce productivity vs workforce efficiency
-
Trying to discover which one people are more likely to plug into a search engine.
-
Yes those tools are good and the comment about intent is right on the money too. [Apple might have a high search volume, but that's not necessarily as helpful as you might think, if you are a fruit seller.]
One thing I like to do when looking at various keywords is to put them in Moz's keyword tool and see which sites are ranking.
This tells you something about intent (the sites that rank highest for a search term are likely to be the most closely aligned with user intent) and about competition (the tools shows you some metrics about the ranking domains). It doesn't help to pick a term with a high search volume if the competition is way out of your league.

John's right, but you need to work out what the search intent for each term is - and presumably pick the one that more closely matches your goals - this video is worth a watch: https://mza.seotoolninja.com/blog/google-may-use-your-behavior-to-impact-search-rankings-whiteboard-friday

There are several methods - adwords keyword planner - or I use semrush.com. If you use semrush, it allows you some free searches. You need to choose your country that you are focusing on. A site for useful tools is website-tools.net - that provides a few more.

Ahrefs vs Moz
Hi! I noticed the Moz DA en the Ahrefs DA are very different. Where https://www.123opzeggen.nl/ has a DA of 10 at MOZ, the DA at Ahrefs is 26. Where does this big difference come from? Do you measure in different ways? I hope you can answer this question for me. Thank you in advance!

8 point decrease in DA, increase in search traffic- should I disavow links?
Would a decrease in DA reflect the need to disavow junk links? My branded keywords recently bumped down two spots, whereas the keywords which have been bringing me the most traffic have been unaffected. Site: Edwardsturm.com DA decrease of 8 over past 3 months. Keyword "Edward Sturm" recently moved to second spot.

Discrepancy between backlinks (opensiteexplorer vs. search console)
Hey there, when I check in search console for "Links to your site" and "your most linked content" I see incoming links pointing to the wrong (country and language) subdirectory? When I check those same backlinks with opensiteexplorer they seem to point (after redirects) to the correct subdirectory. Anyone out there with similar experiences or thoughts on this? I would be happy to give access to search console if you wanted to have a look at this. The test signature works and returns my account no. Here is my request: http://lsapi.seomoz.com/linkscape/links/www.screwfix.com%2F?AccessID=member-12345678&Expires=1357316478&Signature=12345678910&Scope=page_to_subdomain&Sort=page_authority&SourceCols=133982846973 I have replaced my memberID and signature with dummy data to protect my credentials. Is my request string correct? Also where can i get the expiry parameter?

Keyword Difficulty Tool on local results. Is this really working?
I've tried the Keyword Difficulty Tool on "consultant seo" in Romania (that is .ro) The tool says that it's Highly Competitive (59%), but I've got my website on #8 in 2 weeks. Question: Is this tool really working for local results? It seems way off... Actually I was kind of expecting for this keyword to be easy, what is confusing is the "59%" from the Keyword Difficulty results. Thanks for the answers!
