You need to place the canonical tag into your area.
The canonical tag looks like so and should include the name of the page you are wishing to canonicalise as the original source file.
rel="canonical" href="/nameofpage.html" /> That should do the trick.

Copying & Pasting the Moz Glossary onto my site.. is this white hat or black hat?
Hi, I run a small business writing optimised content for small businesses in Melbourne. I want to add a Glossary page to my website that lists all of the different words associated with website marketing and SEO. I found the Moz glossary and I am wondering if it would be a bad idea to copy and paste the list straight into a page on my site. I'd prefer to not have to reword all of the descriptions as it will take me ages and I don't want to compromise the information in the descriptions. Here is a link to the Glossary: http://moz.com/blog/smwc-and-other-essential-seo-jargon Obviously I don't want to do the wrong thing ethically or from Google's perspective. Any advice would be great.

For link building, I started to post on guest blogs I'm new to posting on guest blog and I would like to know what are the most important metrics to look at when selecting a blog? The P.A. ??? I did a few test and this is what I did: in the Goolge-BLOG tab option search for K.W like: ''furnace filters'' ''air furnace filters'' Look at Google results and (MozBar is installed on browser) slect blog with P.A. of 15 or higher Read the post and if I have a relevant content to add, post on the blog and had my infos, store url... Then I keep the blog URL and see if my post get approve and publish. Thank you, BigBlaze

Guest blog better than owned blog?
Say I write a great article about The Best Colleges at X and in the article there is a keyword linking to www.mydomain.com/productX my hunch is that it would actually be better for www.mydomain.com/productX if the article wasn't promoted to the colleges through www.mydomain.com/blog - instead it was promoted through www.yourdomain.com/blog my thinking is that the authority of another site linking to /productX with a popular post is higher than my own domain linking to /productX with a popular post. Am I right? Does it not matter? Am I completely wrong?

Should I put the date on a new content page to show users when it was written or updated?
I've been asked this question at work and not certain of the answer. Personally if I see an 'old' date in a meta description on Google I often scan for more recent articles. In other words it can act as a deterrent. We are a very big social networking site with a large content section. For some of our content the date might be relevant, such as legal information, but often it isn't. Are there any SEO factors in dating content?

Guest Blogging
Hey Guys, I've been reading about the power of guest blogging and it seems like a fun way to build links. However, finding blogs that allow guest blog posts is a bit tougher than I thought. I read about MyBlogGuest.com and some other guest blog networks. Are these legit and am I on the right track when searching for blogs that will allow a guest post? Thanks!

Rel Canonical In Wordpress
I'm using Wordpress with the Thesis theme (which is great by the way). It puts in a rel canonical for each page. Is this correct? I had always thought that the rel canonical just went on the home page telling SE's the preferred home page address. This appears to be telling SE's the preferred web address for each page.
