How can I find duplicate pages from a Moz Crawl?
-
We have many duplicate pages that show up on the Moz Crawl, and we're trying to fix these but it's very difficult because I can't see a way to isolate the code where the duplicate is found. For instance, http://experiencemission.org/immersion/ is one of our main pages, and the crawl shows one duplicate of http://experiencemission.org/immersion. It appears that one of our staff manually edited the source code in one of our pages but forgot the trailing slash. This would be an easy fix but the problem is that this page is linked to internally on our website 2423 times, so it's next to impossible to find the code that is incorrect. We have many other pages with this same basic problem. We know we have duplicates, but it's next to impossible to isolate them.
So my question is this: When viewing the Moz Crawl data is there any way to see where a specific duplicate page link is located on our website?
Thanks for any and all help!

Thanks for taking the time to respond. The open site explorer is helpful for issues that have a manageable number of internal links. However, for the example above and a few others like it on our website it is not that helpful because isolating the link would still require us to click on the pages individually to view the source code. This is because most of our errors are minor errors such as an omitted slash or capitalization. Such errors are flagged as duplicate content in our Moz crawl but the links still work because they redirect to the correct page and thus they are not able to be isolated on the open site explorer. Unfortunately the .csv is no help at all because it only shows the page being linked to not the page where the actual link is coming from.
Are we just out of luck on this or is there another option?

Hey there! You've got a couple different options for ways to track this information down. The first would be to head into your campaign, head over to the Site Crawl and click on the link towards the bottom for Duplicate Page Content. Right below the graph you'll see a button that says Download CSV. Open that up and head on over to column AM and you'll see the referring URL! Another option is to jump into Open Site Explorer and check out the internal inbound links. Hope this helps and let us know if you need anything else!

Moz Crawl Report Increase in Errors?
Has anyone else noticed a huge increase over the past couple weeks in crawl issues in their dashboards? Without being able to see historical data week over week, I can't tell what's been added. Is this some update with the tool? I'm not seeing any health issues with this feature on the Moz Health page, it just seems strange that I'm seeing this across all our accounts.

I have recently switzed to SSL on ramxpert.dk, now Moz is not able to crawl the site anymore
Hi Moz I have recently switzed to SSL on ramxpert.dk, now Moz is not able to crawl anymore. When I look at the crawl report there is just one fault displayed: "403 : Received 403 (Forbidden) error response for page." How can i solve this issue asap? I was not aware that there would be any issues with moz when activating a SSL certificate on the site. The campaign with the problem is: ramxpert.dk. Regards

GA snippets for subdomains and best tracking in MOZ
Hey there, I have a blog running at blog.URL.com. I need to add Google Analytics and I want to track the value of this subdomain as separate from the main URL. Can I do that? If I do a unique snippet in the header of the blog is that the right way to go? The main site is on an antiquated CMS system and will be converted over the next few months to a full on WP site, does that change anything long-term? Thanks in advance for your help. Cheers, Lisa

Idea for new feature on Moz Q&A
Hi Moz Can we please have a new feature to moz when answering questions please, the ability to save as a draft. I am currently on the train from London back home and I was trying to answer a few questions and give my opinion and after writing a really long and detailed response to an area I actually have quite a lot to say on, my internet froze and the page refreshed losing all the content. It doesn’t help that my Mac I am working on isn’t the fastest, but my new one isn’t quite ready yet. But if there was a simple save draft feature, it would be really great as I wasn’t ready to post my answer as it wasn’t finished and without checking wouldn’t have made sense. Yes I know I could of done it in word and pasted it across, but usually when I am travelling and answering questions I do it on my Ipad which isn’t great for multitasking. While I understand you don’t want lots of ‘draft answers’ all over the place as this would take storage space up on your servers and doesn’t actually help the person answering the question, your system could purge all draft answers which have not been edited in the last 24 hours. Just a little suggestion to help make this great forum even better. Thanks Andy

Moz Conversion Tracking
Is there a place here on Moz where goals and conversions can be set up or viewed? If the latter, does Moz just take the data from Analytics? Any information on this would be appreciated. Thanks,

How Does Moz Shoot Whiteboard Fridays?
Okay, sort of a meta question here... My company, a global test preparation company, is looking into new ways to deliver online course content (both pre-recorded and live streaming). Around the office we have looked at dozens of examples of companies that do video presenting or teaching, and then I realized that I watch a great example of high-quality online video every week: Whiteboard Fridays! They look and sound fantastic! Moz team, what are you willing to share re: the setup you use? I'm looking for specific direction about lighting, sound, and equipment. Anything you share would be VERY much appreciated. Thanks!
