Wix websites are very difficult to optimize for SEO. The reason being is there is no access to meta data. I recommend for all my clients to host their own websites for many reasons. You cannot take a Wix website with you when your company has grown out of a site builder and into a more enterprise setting. You can always take your content but the website will have to be redesigned.
Another reason is intellectual property. A Wix website is not yours in the truest sense, sure it may have your content on it but the site belongs to Wix. Building your own brand is dependent on quality content that belongs to your business (intellectual property)
If moving to a self hosted site is not an option... Then once Google gets Wiz sites back into the index, make sure your title tags and h1,h2,h3 and so on are proper for seo. Google will write its own description for search results. You will not have the ability to control this. So make sure your copy is on point and gives clear and concise information. Make sure all images if possible have alt tags. Unless wix has changed over the years this has been my experience.

Google Business Listing Verification for Unmarked Facilities
We have been trying for over a year to get Google My Business listing verification on our facilities, which are separate from our company HQ. We have 31 facilities around the world that do not have business signs on them. We have tried sending postcards and are told that no one is receiving them. The folks who receive the mail are guards and it's tricky to ensure they field them. This has been an ongoing challenge as Google says that the alternate method requires a business sign located next to the building number, which we don't have. What do you recommend we do to get listed in GMB?

Seasonal Setting Options for Google My Business
Hi there, Not sure if anyone will have any insight but I have a seasonal business that I am closed for from September to March. I don't want to mark my business as "permanently closed" through Google My Business as I don't want my customers to think I've gone out of business. I've seen a few times through forums that you can change your business to temporarily closed, but I can't find the specifics on how to do this. Any insight, suggestion or resources would be great! Thanks!

Should apartment management companies have a separate website for each of their properties?
I work for a company that owns and manages apartments. I would like to know which of the two website design decisions are better from an SEO perspective: One single website that contains pages for all of our apartments. (Example: http://www.equityapartments.com) Separate websites for each apartment and one main corporate website allows users to search through our apartments. (Example: https://www.greystar.com) I have spoken to three marketing companies have all recommended option 2. The best reason I have heard is because then the separate apartments are all more likely to rank. They say Google doesn't want to rank multiple pages of the same website. But Google would still know that I have an administrative relationship between the sites. (Source: https://mza.seotoolninja.com/blog/how-google-knows-what-sites-you-control-and-why-it-matters-whiteboard-friday) So I don't know why they would treat multiple sites differently than one site? For what it's worth, it seems the majority of apartment management companies use a different website for each property. So should have a separate website for each of their properties?

How can we better control GMB photos on Google SERPs?
Has anyone had luck choosing photos to display on SERPs for their Google My Business profile pages? Recently, Google has been overriding our photo choices and they've picked some terrible, user-submitted photos to show on SERPs. Our clients are understandably upset about this and we've tried flagging photos which works only a small % of the time. When we call Google they say they can luckily remove individual photos, but this isn't too scalable across dozens of clients we work with. How can we have better control over the photos that show on GMB listings? Any suggestions or best practices would be appreciated! Attached is an example of one we have showing on SERPs for a dealer. [Local Search] Do you get penalized by using a Google Voice number for each seperate business location?
My client is expanding and opening up separate locations and I will be getting all their online business listings up and running. The client wants to use a single 1-888 number for all locations, however, it was my assumption that they would need a local number for each location to improve their ranking. Could I suggest using free Google voice numbers that get forwarded to their 1-888 number or will Google discredit us for this?

How does Google choose the photo added above a Google+ result?
When I do a brand name search for a client, it pulls their G+ info into the right side bar and it adds three images above the G+ info. One is a photo, one is the Streetview, and one is the Google Maps results. On this particular client, the photo being pulled is from Google Images and not from the G+ page. Their G+ page is verified and has 17 photos in it, none of which are this particular photo. Please advise.

For companies with multiple locations, does Google mind "Duplicate Content" in local (maps) business descriptions?
I have about 20 locations for my counseling company "Thriveworks" on google. I am getting ready to submit a spreadsheet and take advantage of the new "bulk upload" to manage these locations. Each of my locations has a description that is basically the same in terms of sentiment, but 100% original content (because Google has historically hated duplicate content). 1) Should I copy and paste each location's current unique description into the spreadsheet, or just write one very good description and copy it for all 20 locations?2) Does Google like/dislike "duplicate content" as it applies to business descriptions?3) Is changing a location's description likely to temporarily harm the "ranking" of my business location in search results? Will really appreciate any help...
