“keyword city” nationally vs “keyword” local in city
-
I'm tracking keyword “keyword city” nationally and “keyword” locally in city. Ranking for these show different position. Considering that we’re working with local businesses or businesses that service only one city and it’s surrounding areas, what would be the best way to set up campaign? Looking for suggestions. Thank you.

Thank you Samantha! This was very helpful.

Hi there - Sam from Moz's help team here!
How best to set up a campaign here really depends on your particular needs and SEO strategy and it might be best to get the help of an SEO expert to determine the best path for you to take - however, there's a great explanation with some ideas about the benefits of both geolocated and geomodified keywords in our getting started guide: https://mza.seotoolninja.com/help/guides/moz-pro-overview/keyword-rankings/add-and-manage-keywords#how-to
I hope this helps - if you have any other questions please feel free to post them here or to send over an email to [email protected]!

It is my understanding, I just fill out my profile on Moz local and all the business listing will be automatically created and updated for me. or do I need to create the account on for example Manta and Forsquare and then you will update the existing account. Please reply back to me with clear answer and instructions to my question. Thank you!

Effect of Moz Local
Hi I'm pretty new to all of this so please be gentle! I've been subscribed to Moz Local for a little over a year and my ratings seem to be stuck at an overall score of 82% and an accuracy score of 87% and I just can't seem to get into the Top 3 local searches with competitors from further away outranking me. Moz Local has been consistently showing Factual, Bing, Hotfrog, Thomson Local & Central Index all showing no address entered. I've been in and put this in myself but no change? Right now my score is showing as 59% with a number incomplete and other unable to be contacted. I have found that, even though the address is entered in a consistent way, that it gets interpreted differently, sometimes leaving out the County, sometimes, the village. I've started going through the "Ultimate Local SEO Audit" and have completed Phase 1 on Google My Business. Pretty much everything looks in order there and the only real change was associating a domain email address with the ownership rather than the old gmail one. I've started to go through Phase 2 and haven't seen anything new there yet. What am I missing? Or, are the Moz Local scores fairly respectable? How can I get real consistency in NAP and why does it seem to take so long for Moz Local to make any changes ..... if/ when they do? And, if everything is as you would expect, why am I failing to get in the top 3 when I have more and better review than anyone within 30 - 40 miles?

Difference between 'City' and 'Province' on Moz Local business listing page
Sorry, I'm stuck on this one. I'm trying to clean up my business address on Moz Local as I have a duplicated version that ranks better than my verified listing (which is Fulham Nannies). I'm wondering if the problem arises from my entry on Moz Local's business listing for which I've entered 'London' in both the 'City' and 'Location' fields.. I'm not entirely sure that's correct, or what I should in fact enter in the 'province' field other than what I've got at the moment, I.e. London. Should I put something like 'South West London' for province and keep the city entry as London? I'd really appreciate any guidance anyone might have, thanks in advance.

Moz Local Address Issues
I've been having some issues with addresses recently that I've been submitting to Moz Local and I'd like to see if other people are having similar issues and how they are resolving them... So Moz local requires you to have any Suite or Floor info on line 2 and I am having a hard time making this work with Google. It seems like they always add it to line 1 and when I call to get it fix it is like pulling teeth to get it right. There has been a couple times i've had to fight to tell them its not formatted right. All this trouble has really made me think about if it is worth it using the service if this is going to be an issue.

Not able to validate my listings in Moz Local.
Hi Team, I have recently updated my location listings in Moz Local and I could not able to validate those listings & move it to "ready to publish" section. Also, I have all the listings that are perfect & verified in Google business but Moz Local could not retrieve my listings from Google and not allowing me to validate it. I have provided below the screenshot of the not validated listings from Moz Local dashboard. Please look in to it and provide me the solution as soon as possible. Thank you, WjWEcOh.png

More than one set of hours per day in Moz Local
Is it possible to specify more than one sets of hours in Moz Local? For example, one of my clients is open 9:00-11:00am and 2:00-6:30pm one day a week. Can we include this in the hours field? They also have different hours for some of their staff vs others. I know that part is too complicated! I hope we can at least do two sets of open/close hours for one day, though. Has anyone done this successfully?
