Have mozrank factors changed to cause drop?
-
Our site's mozrank recently dropped, but so did all our competitors. Have there been some updates to the factors to cause this change?
-
I'm sorry, I actually meant to say domain authority.
-
The domain authority has changed for many sites, though I'm not sure how much effect it's having on MozRank. Check out the answer from a linkscape engineer on this thread at http://www.seomoz.org/q/domain-authority-decrease-after-open-site-explorer-update-reasons. Let me know if that provides enough of an answer for you, or if you'd like me to research this more.

Sudden big drop in ranking - update, tech issue or penalty?
We are managing a website that was previously consistently ranking on P1 or top position on P2 and over the weekend (28th Jan) suddenly dropped to P5. What is the best way of ascertaining whether this was down to an update, a tech issue or a penalty? There are other pages on the site (sub-folders) which are still continuing to rank well on the site for similar kws. Regards,

Search traffic steady, Landing pages receiving traffic had massive drop
Following the week of Google's major algorithm update in January, we saw this graph in our Moz dashboard. (green bars are # of landing pages receiving traffic from search, blue line is traffic from search) Traffic from SEO grew slightly, but number of landing pages receiving traffic fell by more than 50%. We didn't make any changes to sitemap, rel=canonical, number of pages being published, etc. Traffic from top keywords held consistent. Number of pages/images google crawled and indexed grew per webmaster tools. Big spike in Nov/Dec is because we are in retail, seasonal not technical issues. Is anyone else experience the same thing? An algo change? Or something more specific to our site? Quality traffic is what we care about, so number of pages traffic is going to could be a positive thing (easier to optimize). But jury is out. What works when common ranking factors fail?
I have seen in few instances where the ranking factors doesn't seem to work for competitive keywords. The websites which don't have more than one or two links rank much higher in search results. Any clue what SEOs should do in that scenario?

How do I get a MozRank?
Hi all, Hoping that one of you Guru's might be able to shed a little light for me please. we launched the online arm of our gold bullion business on the 21st of February and I signed up for an account here on the 23rd of Feb. I don't have a MozRank for my site yet and I'd love to get one. The mozbar that I installed shows o linkes from 0 root domains etc. but google webmaster can see links that are inbound to my site. My questions are: Do I have to wait the 45-60 days that I believe it might take SEOmoz to give me a rank- or is there a process that I manually kick off? Is there anything other than google webmaster that I should be looking at to try and make sure that I am on the right track; I'd hate to go 45-60 days in the wrong direction before realising there is an issue. thanks in advance, YGF

Can you change crawl day of week?
Can I somehow sync the day of the week for each of my campaigns' crawls, so that all campaigns are updated on the same day?

Metrics from Linkscape - DJ Passed, URL mozRank Passed and funny numbers
Hello, Hoping someone can help me understand the difference between the Domain Juice Passed and some interesting numbers found in the exported CSV file. I ran the Advanced Link Intelligence Report and focusing on the Links to Domain metrics. It looks like the report is sorted by mozRank passed but next to each link we are given the DJ Passed instead. Why is that? My confusion is compounded by the fact that when I export the CSV of this report it no longer includes the DJ Passed numbers but does show URL mozRank Passed instead. For Example, on the web version of the Advanced Link Intelligence Report the top link is: http://www.holdenouterwear.com/shop.php with mozRank: 5.56 mozTrust: 5.95 and DJ Passed: 4.49 In the CSV file we don't get the DJ passed but get the URL mozRank Passed of: 0.00051 Looking at the CSV file further some links have URL mozRank Passed of 4.00E-05 Anyone has a clear explanation of why DJ Passed is not in the CSV file and how the mozRank passed is calculated? And what the 4.00E-05 mean? Thank you.
