LSI has never been a real thing, this according to Bill Slawski...http://www.seobythesea.com/2018/01/google-use-latent-semantic-indexing/
-
ok thank you, it is like the bolded words when you do a search on google.
-
Is there a difference?
LSIkeywords are semantically related, these are the keywords that Google is using for latent semantic indexing.
-
Thank you both for your replies.
One more thing isn’t keyword explorer a mix of lsi and semantically related keywords ?
Looking at the keywords I have a feeling it is a combination of the two.

Yeah I would highly recommend the Keyword Suggestions within Moz's Keyword Explorer.
Utilizing "People Also Ask" feature on a Google SERP can also be helpful for identifying semantic keywords.
Also, not entirely related, but found this recent twitter thread from Rand interesting on topical keywords / LSI: https://twitter.com/randfish/status/947959624858079232

1. MOZ Keyword Explorer. Keywords Suggestions.
2. Serpstat's "cluster research" feature
3. Ahrefs' "Also rank for" feature. These tools take the keyword you enter.
Check which pages rank for this keyword.
Analyze every page on that list to see what other keywords they rank for.
Compare keyword lists from each page to see which keywords they have in common. If there are a lot of pages from that list that rank for certain keywords these keywords will be provided as semantically connected.
For example. you enter a keyword like "wheels fitment", out of 100 pages that rank for this keyword 50 pages also rank in top-100 for the "stance" keyword. Therefore "stance" is semantically connected to "wheels fitment".

Target Keywords not being picked up by Moz On-Page Grader
Thanks in advance for any help, It seems our target keyword "digital marketing agency" is not being picked up by yoast or the on-page grader as having the keyword in our home page content. Exact Keyword Used in Document Text at Least Once comes back as a zero. When we run our website through Google Webmasters fetch tool the keyword shows up fine in the content. Any ideas how we can fix this?

Watermarking Keywords
I've been viewing an seo companies website that claims to get small business websites to Google Page 1 for free or starting at $150/mo. I'v noticed that on all the website this company has done work on they include in the footer (usually as a watermark) all the keyword phrases. There don't apprear to be any sites that have been penalized. Isn't this poor SEO practice? I've included a screen shot of what I'm talking about. I just want to be clear. Thank you for your input. A keyword suddenly dropping 25 positions in Gooogle
Hello, One of my clients have a new website (just 3 months old) and for some keywords it's already working quite well (some of them already on first page for organic search results in Google). But suddenly one of the keywords (just one) dropped 25 positions from one day to another, while the rest of them are ok and even getting better. What may be happening here? The only thing I have done for this keyword different to the rest is that I have created a few internal links (just 7 o 😎 using the keyword. The site is big, with around 60 pages including a blog. I know that I'm not being very explicit with the information I'm providing... Thank you in advance for your help!

"To keyword or not to keyword" in the URL string?
We are debating on whether to use primary keywords in the URL for every page for a new client for the sake of SEO. What is the feeling in the Community on which version is smarter? Version 1: www.abccompany.com/miami-moving-company/about-us www.abccompany.com/miami-moving-company/contact-us etc. etc. Version 2: www.abccompany.com/about-us Thank you for your thoughts!

Keyword Difficulty Tool
Hi Mozzers! Randfishkin just posted yesterday a very nice important and helpfull post, about keyword difficulty. I will be happy, if you can write here the metrics from reports of keyword difficulty, to know more about position of our website on SERP, and to know more what to engage if someone is ranking higher than me, with same metrics of the report of keyword difficulty. It would be very nice, if we talk on this topic here about keyword difficulty how to's. Thanks

Ranked on second page for keyword; now not within first 1000 listings?
Our website www.clientfirstfunding.com ranked 13th for the keyword "structured settlement". After this weekend we are no longer ranking for this keyword at all. We haven't made any changes at all to the site and i haven't gained any backlinks that appear to be spammy. We have held this position for the last several months. I can understand a drop in SERPs but one this drastic is shocking. Any ideas as to what could have caused this would be greatly appreciated.
