Wordpress Canonical
-
I installed All in One SEO Pack widget, as recommended by SEOmoz a while back, and my Notices for this are higher. To fix the Connicalization issues with my Blog, on WP, but it keeps adding the page name in the URL, as displayed
<meta name="description" content="Get more information from Gary!(602) 386-4415 or [email protected] Also known as Web 2.0, social media sites like Twitter and Facebook are the advertising" /> <link rel="canonical" href="[http://www.cisaz.com/blog/cisaz-social-network-solutions/](view-source:http://www.cisaz.com/blog/cisaz-social-network-solutions/)" /> Any advise?

Awesome, I will try Yoast out. Thank you!

It looks like your WP install is handling the canonical tag in a couple different ways because I see multiple canonical tags on multiple pages.
In WP for SEO I prefer to use Yoast to the All in One SEO. Yoast has an advanced section in Meta that gives you an input to your canonical URL.
It appears that that one of your canonical tags is correct. Example I found was on this page
rel="canonical" href="http://www.cisaz.com/blog/2011/facebook-offers-tutorial-businesses/" />

Best Wordpress theme for blogging
Hi all, What is the best Wordpress theme for a professional DM blog? I am looking for something minimalistic where I can add my personal profile and have articles nicely listed, potentially grouped within categories. Any ideas? Thanks. Katarina

Wordpress Old Articles date - Update or Not
Hey there! Been reading around and I believe that there isn't a perfect answer to this question, but I surely want to know your opinion. It's a fact that google likes new content but also updated content, so whats your position concerning the wordpress articles. Meaning, when I decide to update articles from 2011 on its content, should I also update the date? If I make a search and an article from 2011 will be shown, its unlikely that I will click on it... So that you can understand my point.

Should I no-follow my WordPress tags
I just launched a WordPress blog on our website and SEOMoz is reporting duplicate content on all of our tags. We only have one post so far, so of course each tag is going to be duplicate. Should I no-follow those tags for the time being?

Fixing Wordpress URLs
I just redid our blog and I am using permalinks. I have the custom structure set to /%year%/%postname%/ and catagory - blank. When I run the XENU Link Slueth, it shows all my blog urls as broken, but the links work fine. However the url structure is www.example.com/2010/10/20/ and so on. I am worried about duplicate content too. Do you know how I can fix the url structure so only 1 or 2 urls are used?

Duplicate Content on WordPress Blogs?
We are getting ready to add a WordPress blog to our established website. Our plans are to place it in a subfolder on our website to maximize rank. My question is...Do we need to utilize a Meta Robots WordPress plugin by Yoast or similar so that noindex,follow robots meta tags will prevent search engine indexing of search result pages, subpages and category archives? We want to avoid the dreaded Duplicate Content Error and penalty. Any other great SEO WordPress plugins? Thank you for your time. Brian
