SEOmoz crawl error
-
Hi,
I'm getting a crawl error and it complains about there being missing meta description...
But, the errors are all for non existent index files in directories that only contain pdf files and some thumbs of the front page...
Just started trying to learn this stuff...!
Cheers
Rod

Thanks Keri, I'll do that...
-
Rod, I think the best thing here is to email [email protected] and give them your username and outline your situation and they can tell you what's up and if you've found a bug.
-
Mysterio, your answer does not at all address the question. If you could reply only when you do know the answer, and then add a little information about the answer, that would be great. Thanks!
-
But they aren't pages... ??
And I don't understand why the crawl diagnostics is complaining about a file called thumbs.db...???

Understanding SEOMOZ and how to make improvements to my website
I want the same as everyone else the best position in Google. My campaign is set up as sub-domain. I am trying to get an understanding of what make the improvements to the following. What are the most important metrics and if I can work to improve them what makes those improvements. Currently I have a good position in Google for my most productive phrase but feel I need to make improvements to ensure I keep that position. I am adding regular unique content and looking for relavant quality links but it does not seem to be making much difference to the metrics below. Domain Authority 16 Domain MozRank 2.83 Domain MozTrust 0.86 External Followed Links 16 Total External Links 55 Total Links 668 Followed Linking Root Domains 8 Total Linking Root Domains 9 Linking C-Blocks 3 Subdomain MozRank 2.95 Subdomain MozTrust 1.73 External Followed Links 15 Total External Links 54 Total Links 667 Followed Linking Root Domains 8 Total Linking Root Domains 9 Which are the important metrics and can I improve my site to increase my Moz position therfore improving Google results

Too Many On-Page Links Reported By SEOmoz
Hi, I recently did run a crawl report for my blog dapazze.com, and found that SEOmoz is reporting many pages on my blog having more than 100 internal links. I opened OSE, and made a search for one of my pages which was reported to contain more than 100 links. And I found it to contain 464 internal links. Here is the link: http://www.opensiteexplorer.org/links?page=1&site=dapazze.com%2F2012%2F10%2Fwin-a-commentluv-premium-single-site-and-multi-site-license-worth-about-154-giveaway-of-october%2F&sort=page_authority&filter=&source=internal&target=page&group=0 Please have a look at it. I have chosen - Show "All" links from "only internal" pages to "this page" option in OSE, which reports me this. I see almost every page in my blog linking to every page. This is not the problem for me. I have also tried to make a search for some popular bloggers, like ProBlogger.net, ShoutMeLoud.com, HellBoundBloggers.com, etc, and all of them have the same problem. Should I be worrying about this problem? What is the problem actually?

Error is not going away and crawling
I have fixed an error but its still showing in red as error. Im totally new to SeoMoz and to SEO in general so im not sure how this tool works. Did I fix it correctly or not if its still showing? It was a broken link and now it links up to another page. Do I just have to wait? My website only has 8 pages and on the dashboard it says crawled 8 pages but it takes up to a week for a full crawl? Im really confused. Thank you in advanced!

How do I avoid duplicate content and page title errors when using a single CMS for a website
I am currently hosting a client site on a CMS with both a Canadian and USA version of the website. We have the .com as the primary domain and the .ca is re-directed from the registrar to the Canadian home page. The problem I am having is that my campaign produces errors for duplicate page content and duplicate page titles. Is there a way to setup the two versions on the CMS so that these errors do not get produced? My concern is getting penalized from search engines. Appreciate any help. Mark Palmer

Why does SEOmoz use /blog/content-title vs /category/content-title? Any difference?
Assume a brand new blog being designed and all other things equal. What are the pros & cons between using the url structure /blog/content-title vs. /category/content-title? Note:
