Best tool for drawing sitemaps?
-
Drawing up sitemaps is one of those tasks that seems to take me twice as long to do electronically that it does on paper. Unfortunately, sitemaps scribbled on sheets of A4 paper aren't much good for sending and sharing.
So, Mozzers, what tool or software do you recommend for drawing up sitemaps quickly and easily?
So far I've tried using Visio, Excel and Word but if there's a dedicated tool out there, that would be awesome.
Thanks in advance,
Cheers

are you able to generate a website diagram based off a sitemap.xml ?
-
I've gone back to visio. I know it isn't cheap, but I worked out that the other tools were losing me more money in waasted time.

While its not made specifically for sitemaps, but for small to medium sites we use MindNode for mac, Its a really easy to use tool. Clients seem to like the look of it also. Its also free!
-
http://writemaps.com/ hands down. Its a free online tool.
You can also search for "free visual sitemap generator" on Google
Thanks,
Vahe

Or if you are Win user, you can use Dia. It looks really ugly, but its free and relatively capable.

If you are mac user, try OmniGraffle. One of the best tools, I've evere worked with.

Inconsistent Keyword Search Volume & Difficulty Across Tools (e.g., Moz, Google Keyword Planner, Ahrefs, Semrush)
Hi there, Moz Community! I'm reaching out for some guidance on keyword research discrepancies. I'm currently targeting the keyword "sui gas bill" for my blog, sngplbill, which focuses on information related to Sui gas bills. I've used several keyword research tools, including Moz, Google Keyword Planner, Ahrefs, and Semrush, and each platform provides different search volume and keyword difficulty scores: Moz: No search volume data, Keyword Difficulty (KD) 24
Keyword Research | | Faizali.786
Google Keyword Planner: Search volume 100k-1M, Difficulty (Low)
Semrush: Search volume 90k, KD 31
Ahrefs: KD 1 (Very Easy)
These varying results are causing some confusion. Ideally, I'd like to understand which platform offers the most reliable data for search volume and keyword difficulty. Here are some additional details that might be helpful: My target location: Pakistan My Questions: What factors might contribute to these discrepancies in keyword data across different tools?
Considering my niche (Sui gas bill information in Pakistan), which platform would you recommend for the most accurate search volume and keyword difficulty estimates?
Are there any additional factors to consider beyond search volume and keyword difficulty when selecting keywords for content strategy?
Any insights you can provide would be greatly appreciated!

Hi guys! Is there a tool (other than SEMRush) that can show you which keywords are ranking for Google Knowledge Graph? Thanks :)
I've also seen that you can get some data about this in Search Metrics but can't see where? Thanks for your help!

Best way of including multiple years in titles
hi We're having a debate about the best way of rendering years in SEO terms. We have a new report that covers both 2016 and into 2017. To get the most juice should we title it: XXX Report 2016-2017

Which page is currently ranking the best for a particular keyword?
Hi Guys! I have approx. 50 keywords that I'm tracking for a website that has about 80 pages. I am wondering is there any way that I can find out which page on the site is currently ranking best for each of the keywords on my list? Ideally I would like to export the entire list with the keyword in the first column and the page that ranks best on the website for each given keyword, in the second column. Apologies if the wording of this post is confusing - I am not quite sure how to make it clearer. The aim of my task is to determine which keywords should be allocated to each page on the site so I need to work out which keywords are working already for certain pages so that I don't take those efforts away from the well-optimised pages. Many thanks! Meaghan

How do I balance conflicting keyword research tools?
We've been using Wordtracker for years to find viable long tail keyword options. Lately, we've begun to doubt the true usefulness of this tool. We have implemented good optimization efforts using relevant keywords that Wordtracker suggests as reasonably well-searched with relatively low competition. Even when we rank well for these words, we get no traffic for them. Subsequent checking of these words in Google AdWords reveal that Google has found no searches for these words at all. Suspicious, we've begun cross-checking our keywords in AdWords and the Moz Keyword Difficulty tool. But now I keep getting contradictory reports. For example, a keyword I recently checked reported thus: In Wordtracker: high competition and low search In AdWords: high competition and decent search In Moz: only moderately competitive Who do I believe? How do other people weight the opinions of the various keyword research tools?

Why does Google adwords tool shows different search volume
I am not able to undertand the difference in search volume for same keyword under different heading. Let me make it clear. When i enter "Drupal Developement" in adwords tool, at the top, it shows Search term (1) Keyword Global monthly searches drupal development 390 Just below, it shows, Keyword ideas (100) Keyword Global monthly searches drupal development 40,500 I have selected the location U.S. My question is there is a huge difference in 390 and 40,500. Which is correct ?

Discrepancies between SEOMOZ's Google api exact match search volume results and google's keyword tool, why?
I'm finding major discrepancies between SEOMOZ's google api exact match search volumes and Google's own keyword tool, why? For example, 'bridge loans' gets 1300 searchs according to Google's keyword tool, but SEOMOZ says it only gets 210 (both on exact match). So which one do I believe? I know one is the average over 12 months and the other is for last month alone but still that's a huge difference.

Google Keyword tool data + No. 1 Serp rank =/= to taffic on landing page
So a keyword we are targeting "painted bedroom furniture" google keyword tool says gets 480 exact local searches (and 880 broad), and in the same local google we have ranked 1st for months (and currently we are 2nd and 3rd too), but looking at the google analytics that landing page has only gotten 78 unique page views from searches and only 21 from "painted bedroom furniture" . (the 2nd link gets 12 page views and the 3rd gets none, from that keyword) Now for me that does not make sense! For other keyword which we rank No.1 the keyword data and analytics generally match/make sense. Is there something I'm missing?
