What does it mean when Moz KW explorer returns a negative keyword difficulty score (eg -2)?
-
I recently did a keyowrd difficulty lookup in Moz keyword explorer as usual and for the first time a saw several (out of 100s) of negative keyowrd scores (generally -2). Is this a bug, what does it mean?
-
Solved:
Open your Keywords List and select (check box) all of keywords that say, "unavailable." Click, ". . ." to expand menu and select, "Refresh."

Are there any updates on this? I'm seeing the same for some keywords in my lists - "unavailable" in KW Explorer and "-2" when downloaded to spreadsheet. Thank you.

The same thing has happened to me, on two VERY different search terms. I've figured out that in the software the KW Difficulty value shows that it's "unavailable", but when downloaded into a spreadsheet for some reason it shows up as "-2" instead of the word "unavailable.

I have never seen a keyword score lower than 1, even if you type in gibberish into the KWE, it should not show lower than one. There is a post Rand did on this- https://mza.seotoolninja.com/community/q/what-is-a-good-keyword-difficulty-score. It may be worth checking out and commenting on there (with a screenshot if possible) to find out what is going on. I am thinking it may have just been a glitch and it would be worth trying to but in the KWE again if you can.
In the mean time, you could check the keyword phrase on Google Keyword Planner to see if you can get an idea of search volume for that keyword phrase, which should give you a general idea of if its highly search or not. Generally speaking the higher the search volume, the more difficult it will be to target.

In Moz Campaigns, how are competitor domains tracked if they redirect their site?
Hello! One of our competitors (Company A) that we've tracked in Moz for a long time recently merged with another company (Company B) and redirected their whole site to Company B's site. Will our competitor tracking still work as-is? Or do we need to make an adjustment? I'm reluctant to delete Company A from our competitor tracking, because we will lose all of that data. But if all of the keywords are slowly going to drop off as Google starts showing Company B results only, it may be the only option. Any help is appreciated! Thanks!

Should keywords found in a keyword tool (eg. Keyword explorer) be implemented on a page in the exact order?
Hi guys, I have a question about adding keywords found directly from a keyword tool onto a webpage. I see a keyword opportunity from Moz's Keyword Explorer, for example, "dog giardia treatment natural" and was wondering if it should be worked into the page exactly in that order? For example, I've modified the question on the page to now read "Are there any other dog Giardia treatments that are natural?" Is this good practice? Should it be exactly in the order of the keyword found in the tool? Is what I've done too spammy? Appreciate any help! Thanks

Does anyone else have issues with Moz's keyword search volume tool for Google's search engine?
It will show the search volume for Bing even when Google is selected. Then, if you select Bing, you'll get the same data as it shows for when you selected "google". So basically, this tool does not work for Google's search engine. Or it is most likely not a reliable way to perform keyword research. Anyone else notice this? Does Moz even offer a way to submit a support ticket to get this fixed?
