When doing email blogger outreach what response rate do you expect?
-
How many emails do you send in the average outreach campaign? How many links would you expect from that?
Also - when doing email blogger outreach do you need to offer the blogger something other than (great) content, in order to get a link? (maybe cash, or a link back?)
I'm doing email blogger outreach for a number of clients and types of content, but am finding it hard to get links from bloggers.
Any help is appreaciated!
Thanks

Should have been more clear- usually for straight link building its 1 successful link response in 50 requests. For bloggers its much better, usually about 1 successul link response in every 15 - 20 requests.
Another great secret for link building on regular websites (sometimes blogs as well) is to pay for a "text ad" on their site if i see that they have stuff like that on their site already. They will come back with some sort of advertising rate (should be pretty cheap for small websites) and you should agree to "try it out". Pay the advertising rate, they put your link up, and half the time they forget about renewing. The other half try to renew, and usually at that point i tell them that they arent sending me enough traffic to justify paying an advertising rate, but i will give them $100 to just leave my link up on their site. Works well.

Thanks Ryan, some good tips there.
On point 1 you make, would that be 1 response every 50 requests, or 1 success (link) every 50 requests? (or 15-20 requests). I'm getting some responses from bloggers, but usually of the "thanks for the praise for my blog, but I'll decline your offer of content" variety.
On point 2, I can see how sponsored guest posting can work. Also the blogroll idea seems feasible,
Thanks

Welcome to the tough world of link building. Here are some specific insights from my end:
1. I typically see about 1 response to every 15 - 20 requests. If its a straight-up one way link request, its much worse. More like 1 response in 50 requests.
2. For blogging specifically, I have seen success in two ways: blog rolls and sponsored content. Social/blogs are a bit different than websites. Interlinking is viewed a little better, so I love to include the other blog first in my own "blog roll", then reach out to them, let them know "you added them to your blog, you like what they have and are following them. Would they include your blog too on their roll". then throw out a useful comment or two on their blog, and usually the combination of those two things gets you a link.
I will also sometime ask relevant blogs to "sponsor a post" for them. Basically, write a nice article or post, and pay them $50 to post it on their site. You just say you want to get the word out to "their audience", and $50 is not bad for little effort on their end. Of course your link is in the post
hope that helps.

If the domain that you are promoting has excellent excellent awesome content then you have a chance of success - if you are writing to relevant sites.
If the domain that you are promoting has crap content then you are wasting your time.
I am glad that I am not a linkbuilder... because for most clients the job title should really be.. "Magician".

SEO Strategy - Content/Outreach/Links
Hi everyone I'm trying to prioritise my tasks for 2018 & wondered if anyone had any useful templates they use? In terms of SEO tasks, my priority was going to be content/outreach/links - Focusing on user guides/blogs onsite Then outreach articles/some PR that doesn't go against Google guidelines offsite. My struggle with the onsite content/blogs we produce is we have no real social media plan/manager so my content outreach always seems hampered by this. I've tried taking on some of the social stuff, but this ends up being too much for just me to do. I wondered if there were any other SEOs who face this issue and who have found some good solutions? I'm stuck in a bit of a rut and can't seem to effectively push forward with outreach/content writing. Thank you Becky

I am lost at where to go. My optimization rating is 95% + and rankings are on pages 4+. I would like to know what I should do to increase my rankings.
My site is Glare-Guard.com. My Domain Authority has not moved from 17 in a long time. i have done everything to optimize the different pages. I have 90%+ ratings for the various pages, yet I am still not even close to the first page for many of the keywords I am looking to rank for. Do you have any tips or ideas? Should I try to rewrite my content and add more information? I am just at a loss for where I should go to get the right traffic to my site. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Does this setup meet the ratings rich snippet guidelines?
Hey everyone, I am setting up a few product landing pages and hope to be able to see the star ratings via the search engine. I attached a screenshot of the SCHEMA code included on the page and results from the testing tool. On each landing page there are 3 reviews taken from the product page and the overall rating of the product. There are also 2 links directly to the product page. Google states that: Make sure the reviews and ratings you mark up are readily available to users from the marked-up page. It should be immediately obvious to users that the page has review or ratings content. Do you guys think the landing page set up I described above is sufficient to comply with google's guidelines? yafujZe.jpg

Ratings Snippets Gone? ( Help! )
Hello We had good traffic from ratings ( stars ) . I have added Offer details in the rich snippets in various currencies - the snippet testing tool likes it , but for some reason the stars on my site have completely dissapeared and been gone for almost a week. I need the offer information in there for google shopping automatic updates and google told me that it's implemented correctly for the shopping part.. but I really don't know what to do about this. Any ideas why would be really appreciated. http://www.return2health.net/yeast-imbalance/threelac-candida-defence/ Thanks 🙂

Does Having A High PPC Bounce Rate Affect Organic SERPs?
Hi Mozzers. My website uses a landing page for Google Adwords traffic targeting keywords like HR Software, HR Systems etc. The design of the landing page is similar to our website but a key difference is that, being a landing page, we've removed the navigation (it is still possible to navigate to the main website by clicking on the logo). We've A/B tested this and found that by removing the navigation we get more people converting/signing up for the free trial of our service. We track conversions using Google Analytics. Depending on the keyword the conversion rate is between 2.5% and 5%. However, because we've removed the navigation the bounce rate is really high, circa 80% for our landing page compared to an average for our website of approx 40%. Would having such a high bounce rate harm our organic rankings for the rest of the website? Thanks

Manual Action Email Notifications
Is it me or you don't get (and not supposed to) email notifications when your site gets a manual action penalty? I mean I can see it in the Google Webmaster Tools interface, but I never get notifications in my Inbox. Is that how it works or I just need to set it up somehow?

How can a page be top rated for a phrase it does not have?
Hi, While looking to buy a Christmas gift to my wife I was searching for yellow diamonds. Being a bit familiar with SEO I gotta understand how the following page was ranked 4th for "yellow diamonds": http://www.bluenile.com/diamonds/fancy-color-diamonds The phrase yellow diamonds is not mentioned even once! Thanks
