Rich Snippits - Product Data showing in serps
-
Google "halloween costumes", see the yandy listing that shows product data and pricing under their listing?
How did they do this? I realize its a rich snippit of some kind but i don't see in the code how or where this is. I've yet to see anyone but Amazon influence the SERPS yet with rich snippits. Pretty interesting

Thanks, i stil dont see what they are using. It doesn't appear to be in the code? Is there a way to check what microformat they're using?
-
They're using Schema, rdfa, or another microformat. Right now, there's a bit of a fight at which format will come out on top. You should look and see what your competitors are using as that will show you what the dominate microformat is in your industry, especially if you're seeing the results of their efforts on Google. A List Apart did a wonderful introduction to rdfa that really explains the whys and wherefores of microformats.

What would cause my structured data items to drop off?
I have about 20,000 items on my Magento Site. I used a plugin to add structured data. If I use the Webmaster Tools Structured Data Tester everything shows up perfect. There are no errors on any page that I have spot checked. My total items increased to about 2500, but has now started dropping. The numbers have dropped to about 725 over the last few weeks. What can I check?

Structured Data and Google Rich Cards for products
It appears Google is moving towards the Rich Cards JSON-LD for all data. https://webmasters.googleblog.com/2016/05/introducing-rich-cards.html However on an ecommerce site when I have schema.org microdata structured data inline for a product and then I add the JSON-LD structured data Google treats that as two products on the page even though they are the same. To make the matter more confusing Bing doesn't appear to support JSON-LD. I can go back to the inline structured data only, but that would mean when Rich Cards for products eventually come I won't be ready. What do you recommend I do for long term seo, go back to the old or press forward with JSON-LD?

My SERP Rankings are unbelievably inconsistent, how is it possible
Almost all of the keywords i track in moz's keywords ranking report show insane inconsistency. nearly all my keywords (according to moz's rank tracker history) were in the first or second rank for a week or 2 during the last 6 month.

nearly all my keywords were nowhere in the top 5 pages in the weeks prior or after the week that the keyword was ranked at the top of the first page. I'm adding a image of an excel chart showing the ranking - each row is a different keyword, each column is a different date. 51 means 51+ (or - nowhere to be found in the first top pages) Could you please help me make sense out of this? How can it change so frantically? Thanks, eZDVEEW.png0 -
Is adwords data in organic ranking relevant?
we have noticed that without our adwords, our bounce rate is about half (outstanding rate) as compared to when we enable adwords (relatively bad). This of course amplifies across the board for other engagement metrics. So basically it looks like our website is not deemed too relevant and engaging when we bring in PC as compared to organic views. Does anyone have information if the search engines use this data without correcting out the PC visitors brought through adwords? this would mean to us that without having adwords we have a much better chance of ranking organically. very curious about what your experiences are as experts! Thank you in advance! Cheers, Nima

Keywords under product listing pages
Hi guys, One of my main concerns when we start redesigning the site Trespass.co.uk, is the current pages like this one http://www.trespass.co.uk/snow-sports/clothing/ski-jackets/womens-ski-jackets are bordering over optimisation. Is this the case as each product listed in the url above has "womens ski jacket" under each product. If we have 50 products on each product listing page with the product name + type of product, ie. flora womens ski jacket, xyz mens waterproof jacket. Are we over optimising the page for the main keywords by having them under each product? Would that page be over optimised for womens ski jackets? Thanks guys

How do we get individual products to rank ?
Hi, We have a site that sells music and we have been researching SEO and things we can do to help SERPs. We have started on link building and have added links to the footer of our page We have friendly urls, meta tag description added to all products. My question is, Yes we can work on getting keywords to rank better in google, one of ours being buy cds. But when it comes to individual products these keywords and results are useless if people are searching for a CD by artist or title which most do as they know what they are looking for. How do i get better results for all these unique products ? One or more of our competitors constantly show up in first few results for nearly any CD search by artist or title, yet we cant seem to get anywhere near this type of result ? Thanks Chris

Additional Pages in SERP
Hi Mozers, Can anybody help me with this. For "keyword phrase" SERP looks like this: 1. keyword.com/page1 2. keyword.com/page2 3. Mysite.com/page1 4. mysite.com/page2 ... 13. Mysite.com/page3 14. Mysite.com/page4 Is it possible to include Mysite.com/page3-4 both to the top 4th-5th, or better merge this pages and promote only one? Thanks.

Internal Pages outranking homepage in SERPs
First of all I would like to stress that this relates to a new site which is just a few weeks old, however it is something that has regularly happened to a lot of our websites in the past, so I am wondering if there is some underlying problem. We have recently setup the domain www.calcioitaliashop.com. The domain name itself "calcio italia shop" is actually one of the main keywords we are targeting. However, when we enter this into google (we are using .co.uk version), a lot of the category pages appear, yet the root domain does not. Does this indicate some coding problem with the website? I thought we might have some robots problem, but running a site://www.calcioitaliashop.com command shows that the homepage is in the index, so I am just wondering what could be causing these results?
