Bing Adwords

Hello Moz Community,
I am curious to see if anyone else is experiencing the troubles I am having with Bing Adwords.
In the past (not even a month ago), my companies campaigns were driving great traffic, with high CTR, Conv. Rate, and low CPC; but recently (start of February) traffic has increased (not the good kind) and CPC has gone through the roof. When I say not the good kind, I mean the traffic we are getting is not relevant at all to our industry our the campaign/ad groups targets at all. These campaigns have been running for a good year with regular maintenance and great results.
I keep up to date with all the negative words, constantly am A/B testing copy and landing pages, and keeping up to date with good SEO/SEM habits. Since February has started like I said traffic has increased (not the good kind) and search queries seem to be more and more outrageous by the day.
I guess my question is has anyone else experienced this and is it a possibility that Bing (Microsoft) loosened up their algorithm to drive more (I hate to say it) money into their pockets? I haven't heard/read anything publicly that they made such a change but I have read that they have had an increase in profit and a majority of CPC for accounts have increased without actual search share going up.
Please feel free to share you thoughts about this and if you have experienced this in anyway.

Our Adwords CPCs are less than our Bing CPCs pretty much across the board. From what I've read, that's the norm. So it does sound like something fishy is going on. If your Bing CPCs are up, it's likely true for your competitors as well, so they're probably also suffering.
The search partners report in Bing is pretty great... sometimes I've seen spikes on specific search partners that have caused a fair amount of wasted spend. I believe in their interface they call it the "Website URL (publisher)" report. Thankfully, it's easy to exclude specific partners. That would be my #1 suspect for wasted spend!
It should help to segment them because CTRs and CPCs are both much lower (at least for us) on search partners as compared to the Bing/Yahoo properties.

Thank you for the response. We have not considered breaking out our search partners and I think I might give that a try. I know that there are competitors out their that bid on our search terms regularly and it does drive our CPC up but I have never seen it to this extent.
We currently have the same campaign running in Google and our CPC is 75% less than Bing/Yahoo currently with the same competitors bidding on our terms now.
Thank you for the insight though...I will continue to look at the data and reports and see if I can come up with an explanation as to why this is occurring.

With their reports, you should be able to figure out what's going on and where all this extra traffic is coming from. Is the extra traffic from Bing/Yahoo, or from their search partners? From specific queries? From specific locations? Maybe a new advertiser is on the scene for a lot of your queries driving the price up? It's hard to answer that question without digging into the data.
I read this recently from the SEER blog regarding separating Bing/Yahoo from their search partners, and I'm trying it out. The performance difference between the two for us is large, so I'm hoping this will help!

How To Assign Pricing Based On User Location (Traffic Coming From Adwords)
Hi Mozzers, this may be more of a web development/analytics question than SEO, but hopefully someone has the experience to help me out. My company is currently conducting an Adwords campaign targeting B2B clients for products and services across Canada. Ideally each customer is registered as a client in our system when they make purchases, but this limits our customer base to those willing to create an account with us and wastes our Adwords budget. Now we are moving towards a "walk-up" e-commerce platform which would allow non-members to make purchases without setting up an account first. However, pricing for our products and services differs based on province (different taxes, transportation costs, etc.) and the system currently requires a user to login in using their postal code (zip code) to help the platform generate products, services and pricing specific to their area. This has caused an enormous bounce rate and I am looking for a way to generate said product/service/pricing lists based on some form of automated system which identifies their location and reacts accordingly. In other words, I want our system to recognize where a user is searching from and provide them with the relevant information without them having to input any data (in this case, their postal code). I had thought that using a Google Geolocator API might do the trick, but I'm unsure as to whether it is useful for what I have in mind. Has anyone had this experience before and if so, what solutions did you come up with? Looking forward to any insights and suggestions! Rob

Privacy Policy in Adwords
Does anyone have direct experience regarding the impact on quality score by ensuring there is a privacy policy in place on the landing page? I am aware of the legal requirement but I have heard anecdotal evidence there could be an impact on quality score if one is missing.

PPC Adwords Trademark Protection
Hi Wheres the form for filling in/registering your brand with Google for trademark protection in adwords ? I can only find an infringement/complaint form, which given no one currently infringing i imagine will be pointless filling it in. I understand its possible to register trademark with Google in the first place If someone can direct me to the exact page will be much appreciated ? Many Thanks Dan

Poor performing adwords account - would a new account on a different subdomain be a good way to start a fresh?
Hi We have a client who has a poor performing adwords account and has suggested starting a new account with a different gmail account, different card details and a different subdomain. More specifically we will be using unbounce to create landing pages. I was wondering the following: Will Google be able to relate the new account to the old account? If so will they then use the old accounts history with regards to quality score etc...? The keywords being targeted are in and around "email marketing" which is highly competitive - would a new account struggle at first and need to bid excessively high because of lack of history? They have a high budget - does this affect how quickly and how Google looks at an account - will they get priority? Would it be better to scrap this idea and pause the old campaign and start new campaigns in the same adwords account? Would it be better to scrap this idea and repair the existing campaigns/ad groups? Keen to get people's thought's on this one as I can't seem to find a clear cut answer from the web. Thanks Anthony

Your Google AdWords account has been permanently suspended for repeated violation of AdWords or Landing Page and Site policies in this or a related account.
My client nor I received any warning. We even had a google adwords team optimize the account and my rep does not yet know the reason for the ban. Do these Questions get indexed by google? I will ask my client if I can disclose the domain. Is there any way around a permanent ban? They were spending 50K per month. Is this enough to have any clout?
