How to fix this issue?
-
I redesign my website from Wix to HTML.
Now URLs changed to _
http://www.spinteedubai.com/#!how-it-works/c46c
To
http://www.spinteedubai.com/how-it-works.html
Same for all other pages. How I can fix this issue and both pages were also indexed in google.

Hi Alexander,
While there are some server-side technical things you can do to force a 404 error for a given URL, the best thing to do is remove the content in question from your server. At the very least this should achieve getting a 404 status code when you attempt to visit the URL that once housed the content. Ideally, if you can configure a custom 404 page that is more user-friendly, that's even better.
Now, depending on how your server is configured, there may be instances when a URL should produce a 404 error, but doesn't. I only bring this scenario up as a possibility because it's something I am currently dealing with on one of the sites I manage.
In any case, you may need to work closely with your server administrator or Web developer to achieve what you need. Most likely, it's just a matter of removing the old content from the server. Hope that helps!

How can I add 404 error? What are the steps?
-
Hi Alexander,
It looks like you've implemented the canonical tags properly. It can, however, take Google a very, very long time (sometimes years) to remove old content. If you really want the old page/URL out of Google's index, the very best and quickest way to achieve that is to make sure that the old page produces a proper 404 status code then use GWT's Remove URL tool to request Google to remove it from their index. This still isn't immediate, but I've seen URLs removed in as little as a week using this method. Hope that helps!

Hi Alexander,
You can either 301 the old page http://www.spinteedubai.com/#!how-it-works/c46c into the new page http://www.spinteedubai.com/how-it-works.html
or you can set up rel=canonical tag if its the same content and you want the keep the URL.
You would then have to either wait or use this to remove the URL - https://www.google.com/webmasters/tools/removals

Internal Links issue in webmaster
we implemented our website on the basis of WordPress, then we migrate our website to PHP (YII Framework). after a while, we found out an issue around internal links which they were increasing severely. when we check our landing pages in webmaster (for example Price list), in contains 300 internal links but the reality is that there are no href tags on this page. it seems that webmaster calculate most of our links with the links of a single page and show them to us. is it natural or a mis configuration has been happened? Google Search Console - URL Parameters Tab ISSUE
Hi, Recently i removed some disallowed parameters from my robots.txt and added the setting No Url in my search console URL parameters tab (as can be seen in the image http://prntscr.com/e997o5) Today i saw the orderby parameter indexed even if the setting is to not crawl those urls. Anyone any idea why is this happening? Thank god that all those urls with parameters are canonicalised to their original url's.

My site was hacked and spammy URLs were injected that pointed out. The issue was fixed, but GWT is still reporting more of these links.
Excuse me for posting this here, I wasn't having much luck going through GWT support. We recently moved our eCommerce site to a new server and in the process the site was hacked. Spammy URLs were injected in, all of which were pointing outwards to some spammy eCommerce retail stores. I removed ~4,000 of these links, but more continue to pile in. As you can see, there are now over 20,000 of these links. Note that our server support team does not see these links anywhere. I understand that Google doesn't generally view this as a problem. But is that true given my circumstance? I cannot imagine that 20,000 new, senseless 404's can be healthy for my website. If I can't get a good response here, would anyone know of a direct Google support email or number I can use for this issue?

Penality issues
Hi there, I'm working on site that has been badly hit by penguin. The reasons are clear, exact match blog network links and tons of spammy exact match links such as comment spam, low quality directories, the usual junk. The spammy links were mainly to 2 pages, they were targetting keyword 1 and keyword 2. I'd like to remove these two pages from google, as they dont even rank in google now and create one high quality page that targets both the keywords, as they are similar. The dilemma I have is these spammy pages still get traffic from bing and yahoo and it's profitable traffic. Is there a safe way to remove the pages from google and leave them for bing and yahoo? Pagination and SEO: How do I fix it during search parameters?
Today, I have watched very interesting video on YouTube about Pagination and SEO. I have implemented pagination with rel="next" and rel="prev" on my paginated page. You can get more idea by visit following pages. www.vistastores.com/patio-umbrellas www.vistastores.com/patio-umbrellas?p=2 www.vistastores.com/patio-umbrellas?p=3 I have added NOINDEX FOLLOW attribute to page 2, page 3 and so on. There is simple question from my side. Can I remove NOINDEX FOLLOW attribute from paginated page or not? I have big confusion & issues when paginated URLs contain search parameters. You can get more idea by visiting following URLs. http://www.vistastores.com/patio-umbrellas?dir=asc&order=name&p=2 http://www.vistastores.com/patio-umbrellas?dir=asc&order=name&p=3 What is best suggestion for this kind of pages?

Duplicate Content Issue
Hi Everyone, I ran into a problem I didn't know I had (Thanks to the seomoz tool) regarding duplicate content. my site is oxford ms homes.net and when I built the site, the web developer used php to build it. After he was done I saw that the URL's looking like this "/blake_listings.php?page=0" and I wanted them like this "/blakes-listings" He changed them with no problem and he did the same with all 300 pages or so that I have on the site. I just found using the crawl diagnostics tool that I have like 3,000 duplicate content issues. Is there an easy fix to this at all or does he have to go in and 301 Redirect EVERY SINGLE URL? Thanks for any help you can give.
