You could use rel="canonical" back to the original post on the recruitment company site's job listing. And/Or a link back to the recruitment company site listing, 'this ad was originally posted on x recruitment site' - if they are using RSS feeds to distribute the job ads there are Wordpress plugins that can add this automatically, such as Yoast's SEO plugin.

RE: How do you track new inbound links?
You might want to track things like # of links on a regular basis (monthly) from multiple sources (OSE, Ahrefs, Majestic, GWT). You might also track DA over time using OSE.
You'd also want to look at how the link building is affecting your organic search rankings and traffic.

RE: How to track link building? What metrics?
A. I'd recommend steering clear of UAW, it generates low quality spun content that is hosted on low quality (trash) sites.
The content strategy is legit, but you might want to look at moving towards publishing only unique content and working more on outreach to get published on authority sites in your niche.

RE: Yelp, Tripadvisor, Urbanspoon, etc
If you can't beat them, join them. Add your client to those sites and work on outranking (complete profiles, images, description, categories, lots of reviews etc) competitors there for referral traffic.

RE: Google SEVERE drop as of last week (oct 10) on long standing .org site
The reply your received via webmaster tools would have been regarding manual penalties, that does not mean you have not been affected by an algorithm change.
Without being able to review your website, basically you want to start by looking into issues such as the quality / uniqueness of your content, as well as the quality of your link profile http://www.opensiteexplorer.org.

RE: How to promote my guest blog posts?
You might look into getting your content published on a higher quality and higher trafficked site than most of those found on MBG. Find the authority blogs in the niche and try some manual outreach.

RE: I have created 5 model specific blog sites which deliver links to my core site.
It'll likely be/get flagged as a link network, it's not a good SEO practice.
You'll be better off spending the time writing awesome content for your core site and looking into guest posting opportunities.
Good luck.

RE: Webinar Sound Quality: Online Reputation Management
Just had a quick listen, the sound quality isn't great, can be tough to understand parts. There's not much they can do about that though, except make sure the quality is better next time.

RE: Who's still being outranked by spam?
The recent algo updates to catch this sort of stuff seem to be a bit hit and miss at the moment. But it does give us reason to believe that Googs are actively working on removing the trash, but it is still just an algo, it's not perfect. Hopefully they'll continue getting even better at identifying and removing spam.
-
RE: Block /tag/ or not?
I'd say noindex, follow them - many SEO plugins can do this for you, Yoast SEO for example. That way Googs can still crawl them, which may assist with discovery, but won't index them.
-
RE: Meta Description,Title
You might try re-submitting your sitemap and the fetch as Google / submit to index tools via Google Webmaster Tools to try to speed it up a notch.

RE: Where to find database optimize expert ? (My website get down every day)
Have you tried posting a job on an outsourcing site like odesk?

RE: 301 redirect blog posts from old URL to new one
Agree with Kane, 301 individual URLs.
You mentioned you're using wordpress, there's a plugin for that, checkout redirection.
-
RE: How long til meta robots noindex takes effect?
There's no set time, typically it can take a week or two, I've seen it take a month or longer though to completely noindex all desired results on bigger sites.
There's no harm in re-submtting the site, try submitting URL and all linked pages via webmaster tools, it may help get crawled a little faster.

Google Analytics: Deleted Profile
Has anyone ever successfully managed to have a deleted GA profile restored?
One of our client's profiles was deleted accidentally.
I know the official line is it can't be restored, but...

RE: What Next LOL? Dont know where to go from here
I would have to say, checkout The Beginner's Guide to SEO, specifically chapters 4,5,6,7.
Good luck!

RE: Any recommendations on how to keep track of time that clients can see
I asked a similar question a while ago: http://www.seomoz.org/q/project-management-program-for-seo
There are a number of products discussed there. However, the consensus seemed to be that while there are a number of options available, no one product seemed to nail it for SEO specifically.

RE: Yahoo directory listing issue
Don't get me started on trying to contact Yahoo re their directory listings!
They sent us an invoice for a listing I wanted to cancel, when I replied to their email I received a reply saying the emails don't get checked and another email to try. That one also failed. They also supplied a link in the email to edit the listing - the link was broken.
I found a support page, the captcha for the email for was broken. etc etc
Agree with Broadbeach on this one,
"Waste of money and time."

RE: Is it a good idea to make HubPages? Or Squidoo lens?
IMO If you want to recover from Panda, building content on crappy free-for-alls like Squidoo or Hubpages isn't the way to go.
If you're going to create some new unique content, make it awesome and post it on your own site OR create extra-awesome content and try and score a guest blog on an authority site in your niche.

RE: Ghostwriting, blogging, and rel=author
Technically it is gaming, but it happens more often than you think.
I, personally am a bit of a perfectionist and wouldn't be able to put my name to anyone else's work.

RE: Where to buy regional traffic?
My initial thought was along the same lines, the legit way: Adwords, Bing Ads, Facebook etc, all of which have geographic targeting options.
-
RE: Solving link and duplicate content errors created by Wordpress blog and tags?
The duplicate content issue you can easily solve by installing an SEO plugin, such as Yoast's and noindexing the tag pages (you can also noindex categories, archives etc if you need).
I wouldn't have thought 6 excerpts would flag a too many links error, but if you're confident there aren't too many links, just ignore it.
-
RE: How can I download all of my backlinks?
Try a combination of Google Webmaster Tools, Bing Webmaster Tools and OSE. (If you had access to Majestic why not mine that source also) Throw all results in a spread sheet and remove duplicates.

RE: Adwords Keyword Quality Score changes when keyword is paused
I've noticed the same thing, while the initial 'insta-change' may be alarming, when you check back just a few mins later the QS adjusts.
-
Adwords Keyword Quality Score changes when keyword is paused
Today I was pausing a bunch of low quality score keywords for a client, the thing is, once I paused the keywords, the quality score would immediately change.
For example, a number of keywords that had a QS of 3 while they were running, immediately changed to 1 once paused. Out of curiosity I un-paused one of them and it remained at 1.
Has anyone else experienced this and/or have an explanation?
Cheers

RE: Exponentially Increasing Duplicate Content On Blogs
With Wordpress you can no-index category pages, tags, author pages, archives etc.
Most of the SEO plugins let you do this, I know Yoast's plugin does it for sure.
Also make sure your site is using canonical tags and you should be good.

RE: Code to change country in URL for locale results
Try adding &gl=(country code) to the URL at the end of the Google search query.
For example:
&gl=uk for United Kingdom
&gl=us for United States
&gl=au for Australia

RE: Link reporting.
In short, no. But checkout http://www.opensiteexplorer.org with SEOmoz Pro you'll have unlimited access to it.
SEOmoz tools don't report PageRank, but they have a similar scoring method called Domain Authority (DA). Enter a URL and checkout the linking domains report, it will give you a listing of linking domains in order of DA.
It doesn't tell you whether a domain is a blog / wiki / dir etc - that would be quite difficult for a machine to understand. You can often get an idea by the domain name, or check them yourself manually.

RE: Is Googlebot seeing text in my 'Read More' bar and could they even be penalising me for it?
1. Can googlebot see the text?
Login in to Google Webmaster Tools, go to Health > Fetch as Google This will show you exactly what they can see.
2. Could you be penalised for it?
If it's just keyword spam, yes. Make sure the content isn't there just for bots, but is useful for visitors and you should be fine,

RE: A/B Testing. What do you use?
Had been using, and was happy with Google Website Optimizer, but since they retired it and moved to Google Analytics Content Experiments we've had mixed results with it. For some experiments it seems to work with a hitch, but a few of our experiments have been problematic in terms of accuracy. Have a look at the Google groups product forums and you'll see many, many people having issues with it.
We're going to try Visual Website Optimizer next, it has all the features we need. We also looked at Optimizely, but from what I could tell it doesn't letsyou run experiments by simply supplying the URLs you want to test, you have to create your variants using their editor.

RE: Benefits put my blog inside website or outside the website
I vote for adding it to your existing site. This way you are continually adding new, quality content to your site and hopefully earning links in the process!
If you have it external to your existing domain, you are effectively splitting your domain authority and doubling your work in promoting two sites.
-
RE: TLD Distribution
The quality of the site is more important than the TLD, I don't think it should be much of a consideration.
You may see some benefit regarding localization in terms of getting high number of appropriate country specific TLDs. But, once again, quality still counts.
However, I often notice that sites with poor backlink profiles tend to have a lot of .info domains from directories.

RE: Url rewrites / shortcuts - Are they considered duplicate content?
Regarding bit.ly, from their FAQ:
_bitly works by issuing a "301 redirect": a technique for making a webpage available under many URLs. When you shorten a link with bitly, you are redirecting a click from bitly to the destination URL. A 301 redirect is the most efficient and search engine-friendly method for webpage redirection, and is what bitly uses. Because bitly doesn’t re-use or modify links, we consider our redirects to be permanent._So you're fine there. Re your own short links, you'll have to check whether they are redirecting or using cannonical tags.

RE: How to get rid of back links?
In OSE it looks like you only have 2 external linking domains, you could try contacting those sites directly to request they remove the links to your site.
Regarding your rankings, try focusing on trying to get a dozen really good links and make sure your content is all unique then see how they improve.
-
RE: How can I download all the inbound links to my Site?
If you can't afford a pro membership you can still get a decent amount of data from the free membership.
Otherwise you might want to take a look at the links reported by Google Webmaster Tools, you can download the links Google reports there by going to Traffic > Links to Your Site > Who Links to your Site - then click More.
You will then be able to download the current list, or even just the latest links.

RE: Does a dash in your domain name effect your ranking?
I think it gets a bit spammy when you have 2,3 or more dashes in a domain name, the only reason you'd need that many is to make a super keyword rich domain name.
-
RE: Page Title - What is better?
In this case the spacing is definitely a better option for readability.
-
RE: Does blocking domains help remove bad links?
As above, until Google release a disavow link tool, the only way to remove a link is to have it removed from the linking website. Have you tried contacting the sites directly?

RE: Once I start a campaign, is it possible to edit the domain?
You'll have to re-create it.
You can delete the current one if you need by going into the campaign > Overview > Campaign settings. Scroll right to the bottom and click delete.

RE: Advice and Opinions Required Regarding creating new pages for similar keywords
I think you know the answer and hinted as much. If you were to create new pages, you'd be creating those sub-pages purely to try manipulate rankings. Considering they are just keyword variations you'd probably end up with very similar (duplicate) or low quality content on them. You'd be better off creating one awesome page and optimizing that with an instance or two of each phrase
Good luck!

RE: Over Optimization & Footer Links for Crediting Web Design to a Company
These links are not editorial earned but I have mixed feelings about them, here's why:
I don't have a problem when a designer ads one text or image link with their brand name in the footer, as long as the client is happy with it. If you've designed an awesome site that link may act as lead gen.
However, I have noticed designers getting a bit crazy with this and adding multiple (2,3,4 more) keyword rich text links (web design, web development, web deigners location etc etc) in footers which I really do have a problem with as they are only there for one reason. It looks spammy on the client's site and may actually get their site penalised.

RE: Silo and content
Forget about forcing 4 subpages of low quality content just because you read that somewhere.
If you don't have the content don't create subpages.
